  • "powerful 350W motor"

Mate, the only weaker motors I've seen are on kids scooters.

    • -1

      The Pro 2 has a 350w motor

    • -1

Hi Thefong, thanks for the comment, there are other models with stronger motors available in our store.

  • +3

Again note these are currently illegal in N.S.W.

    • +3

      and Victoria.

      • -2

Didn't a few people die riding these the last few weeks?

        • +3

Yeah no helmets. It's like telling drivers to wear seatbelts and how many of them die.

          • -2

            @Clear:

            Yeah no helmets.

Like a very large percentage of the riders I see riding around our suburb illegally.

          • -3

            @Clear:

It's like telling drivers to wear seatbelts and how many of them die.

Drivers are legally registered to drive on the road and have insurance.

Whether they wear a seatbelt or not doesn't change this.

            • @jv: What about bicycles? Skateboards? Push scooters?

Why are haters always so vocal? If you don't like them - just move along.

            • @jv: Not all cars are legal. Lots of peoppe drive illegal cars om road. Too high too polluting rusted bald tyres

              • @Tleyx:

                Not all cars are legal

All private e-scooters are illegal on public roads in VIC.

                • @jv: Depends on state. Lots of states some are some arent

                  • @Tleyx: That's why is said VIC

                    • +2

@jv: Yes not everyone lives in Victoria

                      • -3

@Tleyx: I never said everyone lives in Victoria.

Probably less people live in Victoria these days because of Dan…

                        • @jv: Some private scooters are legal in Victoria under the trial

surprised that you have a go at the premier when that was not relevant

                          • @Tleyx:

Some private scooters are legal in Victoria under the trial

They are not classified as 'private', they are the rented ones and come with insurance.

                • @jv: Push scooters are perfectly legal to ride and use around VIC and NSW?

            • @jv: Op please send one to JV he loves scooters.

        • & how many died in cars?

          • @shoyushu:

& how many died in cars?

            Illegal, unregistered cars?

Find out and let us know…

  • better than M1 processor? lol

    • thanks Marcx33, I hope this will not trigger a lawsuit with Apple.

  • Hi @Clear, do you mind sharing your opinion on the G2 Pro and how it compares to the bolzzen commando?

    • +2

G2 Pro is a weird scooter. It has a single 800W rear motor instead of dual 800W motors like in the Commando. This means it'll go plenty fast on flat roads but once you encounter steep hills it'll struggle after the initial climb. More so if you're on the heavier side. The battery is smaller too at 48V/12.5Ah instead of 48V/20Ah in the Commando and no sinewave controllers, so the energy efficiently is less and the initial take off will be more janky.

Probably not a bad ride if you're doing an inner city commute. I'd seriously consider spending more for the Commando as that's still the best sub-$2000 scooter I think.

      • Thanks. Appreciate the thoughts

        • If you're doing even 20m+ moderate hills, a single motor won't do it.

      • Thanks Clear for the feedback. I will share this back to the sales team and if the team could arrange a demo device for your trial (if you don't mind). Thanks again.

  • +4

I bought the M2 pro and returned it. It’s OK. There are some fundamental issues with it. It has this weird front motor braking that comes on the instant you pull the brake and jolts you forward rapidly. Also the best I got was 17km nowhere near 40. Folding mechanism is iffy at best as it dislodges the front wheels and you have to prop up the base with one foot whilst trying to secure the locking pin with the other 2 hands. It’s far cry from an easy fold mechanism. The throttle has this thing where if you use it quickly in a short succession, it just won’t engage and you will have to disengage the throttle and re engage to get it going.

I suggest you get it from Amazon for free returns. It cost me $165 to return it as ozpost wouldn’t accept it due to its size. Amazon covered the cost of return.

    • Hi Caghan, apologies for any inconvenience introduced, and will share those comments back to our technical team (once we receive the returned item in FBA) to see if it's defected with this item (as we don't hear the same feedback around the experience of brake/folding/etc.). And regarding the speed, we have customised and limited the top speed for the AU version of M2 pro to 20km/h only (due to regulation and road safety) without compromising the power of the motor. We appreciate all your feedback and hope we could provide a better product next time. Thanks.

      • Max speed 20 km/h or 25 km/h? Can you please confirm. Normally limited to 25 km/h here in 0z.

        • Hello bulletmark, you are right, the max speed is 25 km/h for M2 Pro, apologies for the typo and thanks for the correction.

  • Over 250 motor already illegal in 2 states these will be very cheap when states make them illegal. So hold out Black Friday coming up

“I’ve seen an e-scooter that had a 2400 watt motor on it, capable of 65 kilometres [per hour] with a 110 kilo person on it – you can imagine if that goes wrong, it’s going to be pretty nasty,” Fawkner Highway Patrol Sergeant Michael Free said.

      https://www.theage.com.au/national/victoria/melbourne-e-scoo…

      • Weird. Mine has 4000W peak and it only goes 25km.

        • Maybe you can get a refund ?

      • +1

Do you post links to cars exceeding the speed limit when there is the occasional post about a car on here ? Seems weird.

I am in Qld, mine has 2 x 1000W motors, i have had it up to about 70 km/hr on a closed track, not so good at that speed from the wobble due to the poor rake and trail angles inherent in their design,. I set it to about 35 max around town and only go that fast on paths that have no one around.

I have sold my car, only use the scooter, train (can take the scoot or bike on the train) and e-bicycle (also unlocked) now. Escoots and E Bikes are definitely the future for city areas if we ever serious about emissions reduction, pollution reduction, city livability etc

        • Do you post links to cars exceeding the speed limit

Cars are legally registered to drive on roads and are insured, e-scooters are not

          • @jv: Outside of Danistan some of us can legally ride escooters on roads and get them insured.

It's amusing how many Melburnians & Sydneysiders are such insular thinkers.

        • i have had it up to about 70 km/hr

          says a lot about you…

          • +1

@jv: I have been 280kmh on a closed track on a motorcycle. What does that say?

            • @Tleyx:

              Whay does that say?

It says that motorcycles can be registered for use on public roads. They can also be insured.

              • @jv: Depends on the motorcycle some can be registered amd insured some cannot

                • @Tleyx: and then it would be illegal to ride the unregistered ones on public roads.

                  • @jv: Yes, and legal to ride the legal ones just like scooters.

I dont know why this is so difficult to follow?

Legal is legal illegal is illegal. Not everything is in one basket for scooters or motorcycle s or cars

                    • @Tleyx: jv must work in insurance. No one is ever that passionate about it.

                      • @Clear: I'm referring to the TAC charge and insurance duty which all registered road vehicles in VIC are required to pay and cover for third party injuries.

                        • @jv: Legal scooters dont need to pay TAC charges in Victoria. They are like bicycles in that way

                          • @Tleyx:

Legal scooters dont need to pay TAC charges in Victoria.

All private e-scooters are illegal to ride on public roads as they cannot be registered.

                            • @jv: Isnt there a trial?

Some are definitely legal in qld

                              • @Tleyx:

                                Isnt there a trial?

yes, but privately owned e-scooters are still illegal

                                • @jv: But there are hire scooters which are not illegal in Melbourne.

You can also ride off road on private land in victoria

                                  • @Tleyx:

But there are hire scooters which are not illegal in Melbourne.

Yes, hire scooters can be used in CBD and Richmond with certain restrictions.

Privately owned e-scooters cannot be used on public roads.

                                    • @jv: Was in Melbourne last weekend and the scooters were on. Southbank as well. You could definitely ride them across the river

                                      • @Tleyx:

You could definitely ride them across the river

only the hire ones, and only through approved areas, other than that they are illegal

                                      • @Tleyx: Below is a map of where you can legally ride the hire e-scooters in Melbourne

                                        https://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/safety-and-road-rules/road-s…

                                        • @jv: Thats what i thought far bigger than cbd and Richmond as you claimed

                                          • @Tleyx: seems like they include the city of port phillip which wasn't mentioned at the start.

it is 3 councils then instead of 2.

                                            • @jv: They are a great way to get around quickly as a tourist. Waiting for a taxi or uber is slower often

                                              • @Tleyx:

They are a great way to get around quickly as a tourist.

In Canberra maybe, but they don't work well in Melbourne.

Can't ride on footpaths and too dangerous on Melbourne roads.

                                              • @Tleyx: I've had to slam my brakes on a couple of times when an e-scooter rider crossed my lane in front of me without looking or indicating. Often they weren't wearing a helmet and sometimes riding tandem…

                                                • @jv: Had a car almost crash into me.when riding the bike today. On their phone and not wearing a seatbelt Those cars should be banned

                                                  • @Tleyx:

                                                    Those cars should be banned

Car was most likely legally registered to be on the road, unlike the e-scooter which was breaking the law and uninsured.

    • States are making them legal. Not illegal.

      • -2

Can't see that happening in Vic. Most people here hate them.

        • +2

Most people don't hate them here, most people are fine with them.

Don't use your opinion and assume it's everyone elses like a boomer.

          • -2

            @appxl:

Most people don't hate them here, most people are fine with them.

            Not true.

It's a minority that are fine with them.

            • @jv: Yeah, nah.

If they were so unpopular, then why do so many people snap them up when they come up on OzBargain? Why are bicycle stores in Melbourne dedicating parts of their stores to e-scooters?

I used to work in the skate industry specialising in e-skateboards and can tell you that there is a huge demand - we are just awaiting legalisation which is just a matter of time.

Just because YOU don't like something, doesn't mean that your opinion is sacred script and correct.

  • G2Pro
POWERFUL 800W MOTOR: The electric scooter features a powerful 800W motor, which can reach a 30-degree hill grade.

That's absolute BS. There is no way a single motor scooter can make it up a 15° hill with a 50kg+ adult on it, let alone a 30° hill. I had a 1000w single motor scooter and with me at 75kg it couldn't make more then 30m up a 8-10° hill, even though the manufacturer & local importer claimed (& still does) it eats up 20° hills with ease.

Yet a dual 800w motor scooter makes it easily up 300m with my 90kg mate.

If you're going up even up moderate hills you need a dual motor.
