anyone bought from them? Are they legit and beans good? the About page doesn't say anything about them… except they are run by a robot with artificial intelligence?

    • +8

Not sure trolling or legit question

      • legit question…I am new to the world of manual grinding from beans. As a low volume drinker…maybe 1 a day max…was looking to explore variety and different places to buy beans.

any suggestions on how to try most variety so I can find one I like? for example at 13g per serve it would take me just over a month to just try 1 x 500g bag….kinda bad ROI..

        • Ah my apologies. I thought since you’ve been around on this forum for over a decade, you would know how to check the past posts related to this product and the reviews, which are mostly positive.

Personally I’ve bought them regularly unless there’s a better deal around. At this price point, I’d say they are one of the best options available. I think you can’t go wrong with Airjo tbh, especially if you are new as you said.

          • @foxes28: thank you for that feedback, I shall look into trying them out.

i guess I had selective attention…where I just don't bother looking at coffee deals in the past. Will remember to check other posts in the future.

Ordered a Timemore Chestnut C3 grinder from AliExpress hope it's genuine!

        • I don’t have an answer but I’m following as also just got a coffee machine and trying to figure out what beans I like and similar issue being a low volume user ! If you are in Sydney we can share beans :D

I use them regularly. I found a blend (plenty to choose from) of theirs that suits me and it's always fresh. Shipping is fast…. well as fast as fast shipping can be nowadays.

I’ve found the quality to be average.

Niche roasters have a better flavour.

Some people will say Airjo are cheap, but if we’re talking 30 cents per cup vs. 40 cents per cup, does it matter? If people are that sensitive to price then good luck to them.

See a comment below how these beans are always on sale. Meaning sale price = normal price.

Also, some people will swoon over any bargain. I can imagine 100+ votes for a deal for $2/KG for stale beans. Some people just love the thrill (sometimes illusion) of saving money.

      • What are some of your recommendations: I have been buying from Lime Blue , Inglewwod and sometimes Airjo?

    • I have been buying from them the last 2 years.
I only buy when 20-30% off, which suits me perfectly as the deals are regular enough.
They have a good variety, the delivery is real quick, and its fresh.

Thanks, good Coffee for the price but my last order took almost 2 weeks to arrive.
Now waiting for the 40% on the Sumatra deal to come back again. will get a few and freeze as always run out before the next deal.

Have tried a few others and so far Sumatra is our favourite.

Have you tried stargazer? Tried it for the first time recently and it's my new favourite for milk coffees (flat white etc.).

      • +1

no, have not tried it, last one I got was the Twilight Blend and gave it away to a friend as was too strong for us.
Running out so will try the stargazer based on your recommendation.

Will message you if do not like it so you can pick it up :-)

      • Thanks for the suggestion, dark and smooth sounds perfect for my cappuccinos!

  • darn it ordered about 2 hours ago

Looks like Colesworth strategy of advertising at elevated prices for short periods to be able to legally advertise big discounts.

Fresh Roasted Fremantle Coffee Roasters for $24.99/KG is still unbeatable for fresh beans that are actually good.

    • $24.99 from where? With shipping?

      • If you are in WA, Spudshed. $24.99, and new batches weekly. The roast date is normally 2 weeks old, which is perfect.

You can also buy direct from the roasters,

        https://fremantlecoffeeroasters.com/collections/our-blends/p…

        • From their website $43.24 for 1kg of the 'Convict' blend, delivered to Sydney.

        • I go to Spudshed regularly but have never seen Fremantle Coffee? Do they have roasted dates on the packaging?

I need the 40% off deal my man

  • +4

this is always the temporary price so I'm not sure it's a bargain anymore.

I think folks just upvote this because they like the product, not the bargain.

    • +1

Possibly right @FlatulentFrank. But I like to see from these posts when its on "special" and remind me to order again.

  • Used to be 40% when on sale. Looks like the inflation hits airjo coffee too

    • +2

pretty sure 40% was just for Sumatra blend whereas the 30% off deals was for all blends
That being said, they did slightly increase a few months ago due to the cost of everything rising

  • What's their decaf like?

  • I haven't found any other beans in the same price range as these guys for quality. Tried about 5 different blends, and while I enjoy Sumatra and Stargazer blends, the Enterprise is my favourite for a dark roast that works well with milk drinks.

My delivery in Brisbane is never longer than 4 days, normally 2 days

Doesn't OzB have a rule saying "bargains have prices"?

How much is a kilo after the discount? Little bit tired of these posts that obscure the price.

  • I drink latte, wife drinks black.. any suggestions? Before when we were both drinking latte, bought Pegasus but she doesn’t like the taste as black
