    not 4k…..
1080p 32 inch will look absolutely crap

Got mixed up with something else thanks

    • -3

Everyone says this, but ive been running 2 31.5inch 1080 for last 4 years and its completely fine…

      • +2

I think you're just used to it. You should be able to clearly distinguish each pixel at that low density when viewing from less than 1.5m away, which for displaying text and having multiple windows open is a real eyesore.

Have you ever seen a 4K or even 1440p monitor of that size at the same viewing distance? It's night and day.

Not to say that your monitor is not fit for your purpose, obviously it is fine for you. But it's important information to point out for prospective buyers.

        Have a good one!

i sit maybe 40cm from the screen playing fps games, unless you're like 20cm away you're not going to notice.

          • @Cpt Dumpling: I have noticed this issue on a 30" from even 50cm from the screen. But it's good that you aren't having this problem.

Wow, the pixels on that thing must be enormous.

Adaptive sync appears to be absent from the spec sheet, in case anyone is wondering if it will do G-sync or freesync. edit: Correction: I spotted a "freesync" logo on the Dahua page, but it isn't mentioned anywhere in spec sheet.

There's also a 1500R curve on this, which is quite aggressive and will take some time to get used to.

  • It is a bargain

Even 1080 at 22 looks horrible. This wouldn't look great.

    • +4

That's taking it a little too far, 24 at 1080 is still decent and would be the max size for 1080. 27> 2k is a must

      • +1

Depends what resolution/size you're used to I suppose. Hard to go backwards in pixel size I reckon.

      • I thought this too until I actually got a 27 at 1080p. It's much easier on my old eyes.

  • It's a similar price at mwave and mydeal. Not sure if this is a special price or just the usual…

This is FHD aaka 1080p - I currently own a 1440 x 3440 34 inch ultra wide and a 1440 x 2560 32 inch gaming monitor, and boy let me tell you that the gaming monitor is good, but the resolution is visibly worse than the ultra wide.

There's nothing wrong with it, in fact it looks great when watching movies and gaming, since it's really bright, but I would not mind having a 4k 32 inch monitor.

  • +8

You’d want at least 1440p at this size

    • I posted this thinking it was higher than 1080p at first, didn't know I got the info wrong until a few minutes after 😅

Viewing distance is important too. A 32" 1080p monitor from 1.2m away will look the same as a 24" 1080p monitor from 90cm away.

"IF" you have an absolutely gigantic desk that's big enough to keep the monitors far enough away that they don't look terrible "AND" you want to do an immersive multi-monitor setup on the cheap, this might not be too bad. 1080p monitors are a lot cheaper than 1440p and they don't need as much GPU grunt, so you could save some money there. Then again, you could save even more money by buying a bunch of the 24" Acer curved 144hz monitors Officeworks is selling for $177 and just put them closer.

At least they didn't do a 1000R curve on this. At 1m away, this would look like absolute crap.

  • LM32-F200 = flat
    LM32-E200C = curved

  • I've a question for anyone who can help. I need a big enough monitor (say 32' or even 34') or 2 monitors of at least 24' that can be placed near each other and my main use is photo/video editing so the screen need to be as calibrated as possible (I'm using my macbook for now because it has the best possible calibrated screen but it's really tiring to work on a small screen). What details should I look for? What minimum resolution? best techs (HDR, UHD, etc.)? etc.
    Thanks in advance.

    Is there any 4k available?

    • At what refresh rate?

  • Is the resolution good enough to play Pacman?

    • I sure hope so 🤣
