OzBargain is turning 16!

Date: 19th of November (Saturday)
Time: 1:30pm
Location: Commercial Hotel, which has hosted previous events and is VERY close to the station
Cap: 30 attendees

Hey everyone, it's OzBargain's Sweet Sixteen and what better way to celebrate than to eat a lot of food on Scotty's dime, the ultimate bargain.

Other freebies you might be able to pickup include your very own OzBargain T-Shirt and the prestigous Not A Bot badge.

RSVP on the poll, and lets get this party started.

Update: I've updated the time to slightly earlier to be closer to lunch. The event should be around 1.5 to 2 hours so arriving at 2pm is fine. We've hit 15+ so I will begin making the arrangements with the location, and contacting Scotty, who hopefully will attend. Cap at ~30 people to keep it managable.

To make it easier, I'm looking at just ordering food for the whole group from here

Update #2: We've hit 33 attendees, and I've stopped the Poll. To help with numbers and those people that missed out, please change your vote and let me know if you cannot make the event, so that we can get more attendees! I've also started planning the menu, including two different types of cake!

Update #3: I've just finalised the menu for this event (a huge variety of snacks, as well as some burger sliders, including vego options!) as well as arranged some cakes from Messina as desert! See you on the day!

      Also note that we cannot pay for alcohol. Some people might choose to order drinks in the meetup events. Sorry they'll have to pay themselves if it's an alcoholic drink.

      Also hosting in a brewery but no alcohol will be covered for any event

        Kinda awkward when the event is held in a pub where alcohol is encouraged to be ordered but alcohol not covered. Could at least get 2 drinks max covered

        Recommend parking in the Westfield, its about a 5 minute walk from the venue.

        I've been there, they don't, so Street parking it is. Last time I parked near the Indian district and walked over. Was wondering if there was a better option.

      Only 15 people when 33 rsvpā€™ed as going and I had asked if I could come but no one replied. People that said they would attend and were a no show should be banned from future events to make it fair for others.

          Thanks but that is still 10 people that didnā€™t attend that said they would? Others could have taken their place. Itā€™s just rude to say youā€™re going to an event and not show up or mention that you canā€™t attend in the event post.
