Also available at CA via Amazon. and a few dollars saving by using discounted gift card.

Absolutely. Or from their ebay page at https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/175228277330

Admittedly listed at $379, but many will be able to get even cheaper pricing use 3% off Shopback giftcards in conjunction with Ebay's $25 off $150 PLSEPxxx voucher from September promo or the current SNSOCT voucher for $50 off $500 if you can find $121 worth of other eligible Ebay items to add to your cart.

      • None of the eBay codes are working for me. Well except for $10 off

    • +3

only available in Ceramic Gray though.

    • Hmm… looks like it's only free delivery to metro areas on Amazon, even with Prime. I'm in country NSW and it says there no available shipping to my area.

  • Thanks for joining to post. Noice.

  • hmm… worth upgrading from a 3900x ?

    • +3

If you're gaming get the X3D if you're not don't upgrade.

    • +2

Probably not, but it's all relative. Tell us a little bit more about yourself. Are you dining on 2 minute noodles or lobster tail tonight?

For the record, I'm looking to upgrade from an admittedly lesser 3500x and consider it well worth the spend, not least for some better future proofing…

I am more of a confit duck diner,

        • +1

Ahh… so you plan to over-quack the 5700X?

          Apologies - that was awful…

Would this be worthwhile upgrading from a Ryzen 5 2600x? Primarily a gaming rig. Thanks.

    • Absolutely. Great choice.

    • Have a 2600x as well and was thinking the same except I need to upgrade my motherboard as well. Might wait it out for a little while as the 2600x is still chugging along pretty well. Not sure how accurate this is but it seems like it's only a 30-40% upgrade https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-Ryzen-7-5700X-vs-A…

      • What motherboard are you on?

      • You may not have to. I know my first run B350 finally got a BIOS update to support 5xxx CPU's

Buy these used. Not worth buying new anymore. I have the 5800x, great cpu.

    • Curious comment.

It's eighteen months newer than the 5800x you boast of, and most reviews point to the 5700x as being the superior version of what the 5800x tinderbox should have been in the first place.

How or why on earth would anyone look to buy one used instead of a new CPU which was only released 5 months ago, and will be one of - if not the - least last released CPU's for the AM4 platform?

  • is it a steam key?

    • +1

A coupon was printed on my tax invoice. Redeem on https://www.amdrewards.com/. Need to create an account and download a verification tool. After claiming the reward it links to steam and adds to your library, doesn't actually provide a Steam key.

      • Lol I think that’s because of all the graphic cards bundled steam keys being flipped on eBay previously…completely killing the market for newly released PC Titles!

  • How big of a jump would it be from a 5600X? just gaming

    • +1

      Marginal, if not imperceptible.

      Save your money.

        Thanks Uncle

        • Not at all. You've got one of the best bang for buck CPU's on the market - enjoy…

    • I’m planning an upgrade from a 1700 zen 1 to 5060 to make the cheapest upgrade I’ve ever done.

  • So does anyone know if you can redeem this offer buying through CA on eBay or Amazon? I understand that the retailer has to send you a code to enter into AMDs site.

It’s $1 card fee plus $9 shipping through their website..

    • Their ebay listing expressly states that it includes Uncharted.

      • Righto . Sorry their Amazon listing doesn’t even mention it

  • Worth it upgrading from 3600? Thanks!

    • Need more info. Do you game? Which GPU? FHD/2K/4K?
