From the 20th October until the 30th October, KFC will be doing an app exclusive promotion with a new deal appearing in the app at 1pm AEDT every day. There will be 11,000 available each day so you have to be quick in order to get the deal.

Mod: All media promotions suggests that it is 11,000 per day rather than 11,000 across 11 days/1,000 per day. Changed post start date to 21/10 to avoid duplication.
With 600+ KFC stores nationwide, 1000 items per day means each store gives away 1.5 discounted items per day. This won't be a bargain if quantities end up being extremely limited.
And for pete's sake, KFC, on top of everything else your new app is giving me eye pain. It's horrible. I feel like I'm staring into a torch for 5 mins while I order chicken kentuckied.

It'll highly likely be in Promos - each promo (currently Fillets Box, Colonel's Dinner) acts like a coupon with a limited number of uses. Those two promos have 10,000,000 uses so they won't be going away any time soon.
These will most likely have 11,000 uses.

Agree 100% new app is trash. FYI to anyone who had done this but didn't know, they've deleted some hacks i.e used to be able to alter sides from say 2 chips and 2 drinks to have all 4 chips in a family burger combo. Now it is distinguished as 'sides' and 'drinks'. Very disappointing, plus they have deleted some of the best app only deals, and the layout is terrible and unintuitive. On the plus side at least I'll be able to get that summer bod I've promised myself for the last 9 years.
The sides / drinks "hack" has not changed. In both the new and old apps, you can swap large sides / drinks with the other, but it doesn't apply for regular sides / drinks. Try it yourself with the large sides and drink in the Family Feast.

Someone on the zinger burger thread said the order is valid for the whole day. Today I ordered midday and picked it up around 4pm.
Yay it worked better than expected, when I added the burger to cart it came up saying something about exceeded, but I kept pushing through to checkout and it was 1$ at the end lol

Got my $1 Zinger, but that should be the default price. Compared to how they used to be, it's now a tiny piece of chicken, barely any kfc type skin, no crunch when biting it and no zing what so ever. Long live the OG Zinger.

A little trick I've learned is to modify the sauce to something else, that way they more than likely have to make it fresh. If they pay attention that is.

They did another "sauce" promo a few years ago where the chicken would come coated in the sauce - I can't for the life of me remember what it was. I thought it was Worcestershire but I can find no record of that.
Anyway, it was delicious but never came back.

I agree with you, if people think the zinger is the same as it always was, then they dont remember what the Zinger was when it first came out. Far more Zin and larger than what it is now.
Yeah I remember the buns being larger AND the fillet being so big it'd hang over the sides of the bun. Combined with a regular chips was a very satisfying feed.

I think it was still available to order till like 2.10PM, which is quite a surprise! I only got a banner that said it was all sold out at about that time, but I ordered it at like 1.15PM for pickup later, so yay dinner!
Yeah — they let it run for an hour or so, and then pull the pin. The 11k per day thing is just to stoke the illusion of exclusivity

So how long after ordering did you pickup? I always worry they'll cancel/bin it, so I order minutes before getting there. If it's hours, that would be great. (Not that it matters… From the comment it sounds like they've killed everything I used to order.)
As far as I know, they don't even make the food until you say you're in the store. I just had a call with a KFC customer service team due to app issues, and they said it was fine if I picked up the food at like 7-8 PM.
There's even a "Cancel Order" button after you've placed the order, so I assume it's anytime?

@[Deactivated]: No, mine was that after I put the order down, they wouldn't let me pickup because both drive thru and in-store pickup was unavailable. They just told me they called the store and will put a word with them that someone is coming. :/ They just asked for some screenshots and didn't really reply back the e-mail.
I ordered the burger at 12.02 Brisbane time (1pm Sydney time). They had already charged me but I didn't click "Pick up at Store" until 2 pm at the store.
Offer is missing from the app, I'm guessing it's used up already at 1.5hours after starting.
Wasn't even here at 1pm local Perth time.
Guess we had to have got in at 11am.
