    Ram upgradable?

    • +1

No, the RAM is soldered down.

I feel this is so cheap, whats the catch?

Iā€™m sorry, what? This is OzBargain, what do you come here for?

New 12th Gen CPU starting to show up, I guess they're clearing stock.

      • +1

wait, aren't 13th Gen announced like last week? are intel laptops just generally 1 gen behind?

    • +2

I don't think there really is one. Maybe - Older generation CPU, targetted toward productivity, soldered ram.

Have a read of the comments from previous deals - may help you make up your mind.

Many members got this in black a few weeks back for $999. New version is out. This is a great laptop for the price, but it is on the heavy side (it's metal). I suggest watching Linus's review, as it much the same laptop (just intel branding and 500GB M.2 Drive). This laptop is dead quiet for normal production, but the fan gets a little noisy playing the sims 4 (still quite compared to most laptops). If you can get down to bing lee, they may still have a display unit to play with. It's a great laptop for the price

      • Where can one check Intel NUC laptops in Victoria? I could not find a seller other than Umart/Mwave but they don't have stores in Vic.

        • +1

I'm not sure. I just know my local Bing Lee had one on display still a week ago. You could always consider a seller that accepts returns for change of mind, but I'm sure beyond that

  • The cheapest one on eBay brand new is around 850 (silver color) by bing lee with ebay plus discount

Was there only one or something? Couldn't find it in their store search.

        All sold now

It wasn't advertised as an Intel NUC, but as an Intel EVO, but the SKU matched. I went to purchase 1, and it was only available for pickup at 1 store, they wouldn't ship, so killed the deal.

They likely only had 1 or 2 in stock. Whomever picked it up for the ~$849 got a ripper deal! šŸ‘šŸ¼
