Also selling at PCByte for $329 + $9.90 delivery.

  • Outstanding.

Now to see if Amazon match the PC Byte price delivered and/or whether Uncharted bundled game is included…

This is a great time to buy a new PC.. using last gen parts..

Am very tempted to build a mini ITX using CM case, 5600X and a cheap used 3070Ti off ebay. I think its AMD trying to screw intel sales.

  • Dam bought yesterday for $369

Waiting for it to go sub $300. If it doesn't get there I'll just stick with my 3600 for another year or so then upgrade to a 9xxx CPU.

  • Currently on 3700x, worth upgrading to this for mixed usage?

    • from benchmarks is overall about 10% CPU speed improvement.. so depends i $339 is worth 10% less of your time for content creation etc. you're unlikely to notice any great differences in gaming (unless something was running at very low FPS, it might help smooth it out a little).

I'd probably just go the 5800X3D from where you are currently as a 'end-goal' for your AM4 platform. (Or a 5900x for more heavily threaded stuff/less gaming)

      Not worth otherwise IMO.

  • Thanks OP. Was about to pull the trigger when I saw Amazon Warehouse had a crushed box unit for even cheaper at $311.

Fingers crossed that's all it is rather than bent pins or melted silicon after six months of overclocking. At least it's Amazon, so returns are awesome. Cheers.

  • I'm upgrading from a 2600, should I get this or the 5800x for $386?

    • +2

      Get this.

      • Agreed, unless you really need a trinket!

I actually posted the deal for the 5800X @ $386, and even I got this 5700X deal instead.
