        Great question.

        I'm constantly surprised - most commonly in popular deals - by the number of people who ask follow-up questions requiring more assistance about "is this a good upgrade for x?", "what motherboard / wallet / lamington tin should I get to put this is?" or "great deal - how do I use it?", but still won't give an upvote. Only ever negging deals is an even more disappointing indictment on the OzBargain culture.

        As in the current example, it seems there are a lot of unappreciative people, or at least many who are happier cursing the darkness, than ever standing up to turn on a light switch themselves…

          There are also countless people who don't upload, especially when they purchase whatever the deal is. You probably should check their history as well.

          Does everyone need to justify themselves and their comments/upvotes/downvotes, etc to you? Do you check everyone's comments, ratings and histories?         Hasn't happened to me and from the few reports, I put the odds pretty low.

        Nevertheless, instead of using the MC debit directly at Bunnings, using this deal to get an extra 5.5% off via the Home Swap card and Bunnings GC is worth my while.

          There was only 1 report of hacking I can recall in the whole thread on that deal, and that may have been on a card from a previous deal. Not sure if that's because people used them quickly or put a hold on them or if there has been an improvement in security.

    I have got few payments coming up in Airbnb in few days as I did the part payment so wondering can I buy these cards now, load them in the Airbnb account so instead the upcoming payment from my paypal/credit card (initial payment method) it will take the Airbnb balance which is made up of airbnb giftcard???
    Also if I buy multiples, would the $3 bonus cashback for each $100? Lastly, is it a good idea to buy 5x$100 giftcards at once or split them?

      It’s $3 bonus per account. You’ll only get $3 for your $500 purchase + what ever cashback from the gift cards.

      We have a stay over 6m next year and looked into this option to potentially save us a a few k. Found out that you can't pay off a remaining balance using Airbnb. It's a crap policy but it is what it is. I tried this on a booking we had and there's no way to pay the remaining off with the credit balance. Mind you these were for stays 28 days and longer.

      The only way would be to pre buy, load and pay in full to benefit from the discount.

      You apply the credit against your account, which can then be used to make payments for individual stays.

      If you have payments not made yet you will be able to use the giftcard credit for it, we did this recently.
