Q: How do you know when it's a real clearance?
A: When PCCG offers free shipping

Based on the recent AIB deals, RDNA 3 announcement won't have much impact on 3060/6600 level pricing so worth considering if you need 12GB with CUDA, Tensor and all the other good Jacket Man Stuff™

My 6600xt is faster and cost $350

    • +1

Yep, 6600xt is best option for gaming, too low for productivity anyway

No DLSS or Raytracing though. Depends what you're gaming on and what games you're playing, but for AAA couch gaming on a 4k60 TV, I have no regrets going for the 3060, would highly recommend.

      • 3060 class would struggle at RT anyway, its only DLSS you need to consider.

        • -2

Not true, real world at only 60fps, it handles RT fine.

          • @eudai: Even the mighty 3080 10G truggles at 4k with RT and DLSS. But if you are happy all good.

            • @John Doh: What you want me to do? Take a vid of how good spiderman looks at 4k with rt? What would appease you?

This card does things the 6600xt could dream of, not to say 6600xt isn't better in certain situations. Not playing games with DLSS/RTX and with higher frame rates I'd choose the 6600 too.

Reducing the current landscape to this card is cheaper and faster therefore it's better isn't seeing the full picture. Those features are worth something.

@eudai: The 3070 averages 55 fps without RT. Switching on RT with DLSS brings it to the same level again. This is a 3060 you are talking about and these games are not future games.

@John Doh: yeah now you're just ignoring what I'm saying and arguing for its sake.

"My 6600xt is faster and cost $350" that's what I was originally replying to, with my anecdotal experience.

                  • @eudai: Oh OK. I was replying to "but for AAA couch gaming on a 4k60 TV, I have no regrets going for the 3060, would highly recommend." ;)

ehh 3060 has been hovering around this price for too long

    • Agreed, for the big named brand 3060s I doubt the price will plummet before they sell out.
