Not a fan of nylon spatulas. The nylon tends to melt(?) disintegrate at the end. Silicon, wooden or metal (depending on the pan you're using) is better for me.

  • Back to 14.95.

  • Why is Nylon still a thing? Silicon all the way

    • I’ve found that silicon cooked food sometimes has a soapy taste for some reason. Tried a couple of different branded silicon spatulas and they both had that taste.. not sure why.

  • Nylon is a terrible material for this sort of thing

The best spatula, full stop, is one that has it's flat end slightly turned up at about 5 degrees. Very hard to find and yet most chefs in a commercial kitchen will have one to help with delicate prising, think of pan whirled Crêpes or Asian omelette where that ultra thin skin swirled and sealed around you pan edges need to be gently lifted as you prise and flip them.

A spatula with the little 5 degree lift does this with ease.

      Prove it…

      • And how would you like that to actually happen?
If you can't picture it then there's little chance you'll understand.
