  • The Vacuum sealer is perfect for cooking Sous-vide. http://lifehacker.com/5521947/use-a-cooler-to-cook-your-meat…

    • I was thinking Dexter could do with one of these

  • Those umbrellas have double canopies? They look like they do…

similar deal to the OO one but can pickup instead.

    • If they are the same ones from last year, and they do look like it, then it is double canopies. My particular umbrella is still going alright, the only problem is that the rubber grip is only glued to the center rod, and it is slightly loose so that it has slid upwards towards and interferes with the auto-open button.

      • LOL on how your umbrella act!!!!

    • Link to the OO deal? I dont see any specials on their website.

  • what is double canopy, and what does it do?

Google it, in short its two overlapping canopies and the gap between the two layers allows wind to escape.

      • I did google it, just tire of going through all the irrelevant webpages.

These Aldi umbrellas are junk. The metal arms are thin and bend/break easily.

I also have an Aldi umbrella that one of the spoke broke. I wonder if the other umbrellas through OO will be better quality. If anyone has an extra OO Woodworm umbrella working in Melbourne CBD, I'm interested in buying one for $10.00 to replace my Aldi umbrella.

      • If you are really serious, you need to look at a Windbuster. Have had one for years and play a lot of golf. No problems with its strength and durability in strong winds. Whatever you buy, double canopy is the way to go.

        • where do you get these Windbuster? :-)

        • Mostly at golf shops or pro shops. They will all stock the better golf umbrellas. I have used the cheaper ones in the past, but they never last past the first storm with a bit of wind. The winbusters do due to the double canopy and the quality of the frame.

      • I wonder if the other umbrellas through OO will be better quality.

perhaps - whilst the aldi ones have nylon fabric with double UV coated in silver colour on the inside, the woodworm not only has a plastic tip and ergonomic handle, but also 12-month warranty

Vacuum sealer works fine, and the refills are a fraction of the price of other brands.
