  • It took me a few minutes to realise it was skin care products 🤣
Looks like acid bottle I was wondering what the heck you were selling that for?!

Any recommendations for Vitamin C which goes with the Buffet/Vitamin A?

While I'm here, a Vitamin A product which isn't oil based?

The less I use, the better my skin is! I got combo skin, but I found if I layer or use to much skin care I get pimples.

Maybe I can use C in the morning, and A in the evening to keep it seperate.

    Thanks 😬🙏👍

I read it's not wise to use acids with peptides either, so I ended up buying the NIOD product. However, I never use scrubs or acids but probably should once a week.

    Doesn't seem many light options.

The Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12%.

For Vitamin A, get a prescription from your GP for Tretinoin.

Im getting my tretinoin now from Dubai when freinds come back from trips. Its OTC and approx $10
5 tubes due to arrive on Monday

          Great tip. Thanks!

        • I need friends in Dubai!

Can you order double, and send me 5? 🤣

          • @[Deactivated]: Probably worth flying to dubai and back.
I get other meds from there too that are expensive here

    • I use the ethylated ascorbyl solution but not with buffet

    • Vitamin C which goes with the Buffet/Vitamin A?

Just avoid pure Vit C, i.e. avoid L-ascorbic acid and Ethylated Ascorbic acid if you want to use it at the same time as either of those. You can use them with vit C derivatives like the Ascorbyl Glucoside that dami suggested.

a Vitamin A product which isn't oil based?

If you mean from The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion

ended up buying the NIOD product.

Which one? NIOD has many products.

Yay for slowvember!!!! Thanks for sharing op. Happy to give some guidance if y’all need.

I highly recommend the daily kit. If you look at the description it’ll tell you what each product does and where its used in the skincare routine.

My routine is usually Squalane Cleanser > "Buffet" + Copper Peptides 1% > Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 > Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA

For my nightly skincare routine I use one of the retinoids (0.2%) at the end of the routine but you need to experiment with which one works for you. If not used correctly it’ll burn your face which isn’t what you want for an anti-aging agent

Thanks for sharing your routine and offering guidance cerealsmok3r :). Im thinking of getting the buffet + copper peptides. Do you know if that will work ok with a vitamin c? Thats a great tip about experimenting with retinol. I once got prescription retinol and OMG my face pretty much fell off! :D

My recommendation would not be to use any active ingredient with vitamin C as it is highly reactive. If you mix or put too much that the skin does not absorb, you'll get salt (not NaCl) deposits on you face which will feel grainy. That's a good indication you'll need to change your routine/what ingredients you use

There's a comprehensive regimen guide that tells you what not to use with each product.

You can see from there for buffet + copper peptides:

      Conflicts:
Products containing Direct Acids, pure Vitamin C (LAA/ELAA), Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3%.
      Alternate use with Retinoids

You also need to know what Vit C you are using. Is it pure Vitamin C? That's LAA in the list above. Or is it a Vit C derivative? In that case you're ok to mix with buffet + copper.

    My routine is normally:
Morning - ethylated ascorbyl solution (vitamin C), hyaluronic acid, moisturizer (something like ceravee is good enough for me), laroche posay anthelios sunscreen.

Evening - glycolic acid toner, niacinamide, moisturizer, granactive retinoid 5% in squalane

  • Thanks everyone for sharing your routines and tips. Really appreciate your expertise! :D
