Has an NH35 movement, sapphire crystal. Seemed like less chunky, more dressy watch than the Willard thats always on sale. Amazing that you can get so much for ~A$100. Make sure you use cashrewards for another 5% as well!

    Looking good in blue
    Butterfly clasp. Nice.

I think butterfly clasps are a negative since there’s a lack of adjustability. I need microadjust.

      • Only a problem if your wrists don't meet regulation size XD

    Inspired by another "oak" watch?

    • No, not at all ;-)

  • New AP - flood, water on my butt like a tub…

  • That RRP lol

I'd probably pick up the Pagani Design knockoff royal oak before this one.

    • Or a rep

      • True that.
Was just thinking the water resistance is a bit hit and miss with the reps, even if you spend $500+ on one.

        • A real one is only 50m WR so…

    • What's better about the Pagani one?

      • The paganis have a pretty good reputation for being a reliable well priced replica

  • Genuine question, wouldn't the service be more than the price of a new watch?
I've been looking at automatics lately and a large part of the attraction was that I wouldn't have to get the battery replaced and gaskets pressure-tested replaced every year. But I read that a service can cost as much as the watch, and that more expensive watches have more expensive serviceable parts that require servicing at more expensive retailers.

If you're buying an automatic for under a hundred bucks you're not expecting to service it down the line.

For a decent automatic you'd expect ten years easy before a service, for one of these its dependant on what QC was like that week.

    • It's kinda why they're cheap, you simply WOULDN'T service it, you'd throw it away.
Same with parts, the work involved with getting new parts is just so much more time intensive than just buying a new movement or a new watch.

For some people they're ok with buying a new device instead of fixing them - so they buy cheap.
For others the longevity and sentimental value is important.

just get another nh35 movement and drop it in yourself

      • Hold my Parkinson's!

      • Thanks.
Looks as though that would cost half the price of a new watch at these prices.

        • goes to show how much value you're getting then in terms of 316L case, sapphire, and dial and hand set. But this holds true for most aliexpress brands these days for around $100. I have been looking at parts to build my own and I can't get under $150 for the same specs
