Is There a Cheap Way to Get Access to Virgin Lounges?

I keep seeing cheap access to Qantas, but never Virgin. We are flying tomorrow, and cheap lounge passes would be helpful.

Any options?

Thanks :)

No. Virgin lounge passes aren’t transferrable. See if Gold or Platinum members can get you in

Honestly you are not missing much unless you were planning on getting wasted for free/cheap. This applies to either Qantas Club or Virgin Lounge. I think the business lounges are a little better but not sure.

Buy yourself a toastie and a drink from whatever cafe is at the airport, connect to the free airport wifi and grab a seat somewhere, and you will be doing exactly what 95% of the people in lounge are doing.

      Johnnie Walker?

    • The food isn’t that good in the lounge either. I do like taking chip packs and sandwiches to stuff my bag with though.

      • If they even have chip packets available that is. Sometimes they’re out of stock

        • True. In that case I just use my mouth as a carrying case.

you get a luxury of a quieter place sometimes and a shower.

Air NZ lounge at MEL is not bad
      Qantas is so

    • Qantas lounge in Wellington was fantastic, when I was there in 2018 it was a serve yourself bar so I grabbed the bottle of glenfiddich, a bunch of food and settled in when I had 2-3 hours to kill before a flight once.

But then I clearly wanted to get wasted for free.

Too late for OP now, but if you buy a Business Class ticket you get a FREE lounge pass.

  • you need to be a virgin customer first.

  • Entry cost $65. Just pay at the lounge reception.

      Thanks Stewardo.

Note, this link only opens up access to airport lounges in the international terminals of Australian airports (can't be used for Virgin lounge for example)

    • Link dead already :(

Unless you're a close friend of Epstein or Maxwell, then no, you'll have to pay like the rest of us.

  • Cheapest way is to travel with other people who have amex platinum ccs. Then you can just enter as their guest.

    • Or get your own platinum card

      • $1500 annual fee….

        • Cheaper than flying to get all those status credits
