I was on the lookout for one as I still had multiple spare heads left after my previous one (cheaper model though) was refunded as it died less than a year in. Mixed (and few) reviews but price is down to all-time-low (courtesy of 3xCamel).
Only the white colour is on sale. Average historical price between $299 and $330 (on Amazon.au)

Good tip, although I found Amazon support is good enough (and very convenient). They replaced my first HX6800/06 (Philips Sonicare ProtectiveClean Plaque Defence Black) that died a little past 2 years mark, and then refunded me when the replacement died less than a year in. Fingers crossed this one doesn't die before I'm able to use up my spare toothbrush heads lol

Yeah good customer service at Amazon, Philips also 10/10 for warranty support, my 9000 died so they upgraded me to the 9700 full new retail box with all accessories, then the shaft went again recently so they sent another handle, might be pricey products but found they look after you when it comes to warranty

        • Shaft on mine went too (wobbled side to side). If you cut around the base enough to pry out the end plug, then bash the shaft hard enough to get the whole assembly out, you can tighten up the tiny screw that holds the shaft.

          • @wfdTamar: exact same issue once that goes loud vibration noise, but wouldn't fix it yourself as you will void warranty, unless it was way out of warranty, quick call to Philips & they will swap it over, even if you have no receipt, they will just get the serial number from the bottom & can see when it was manufactured

@RogueWolf: Mine was in warranty, but I thought it wasn't and I was overseas anyway. Explained all this to them when I got home and they still replaced it.

              • @wfdTamar: & thats the 10/10 warranty support im talking about

  • 2 PacK HX9914/60 419(plus 15%off)in Costco,if anyone can access to this deal.

Mine has been going strong for the last 5 years. I only plug in the charger when I feel the battery is getting low and leave it on for 24 hours. You can try this it may help with longevity.

    • Oh I've done it both ways lol. The motor gave out in my first one (would light up and "attempt" to vibrate, but shut down instead), while the second one died completely (would not even light up on the charger anymore - so I don't think it was a battery issue but rather an electrical one)

I'm guessing issues plague all models of this range then - I'll be sure to register for extra Philips warranty then

I’ve had Phillips replace the handle 3 times due to the buttons stoping working. Last time was just last month and originally purchased July 2018 (from Amazon), so the after sales/warranty has been excellent. I’ve just dealt with Phillips direct rather than going through Amazon.

Best brand of toothbrush out there, much better clean than the equivalent Oral-B’s.

    • Yes far better than Oral-B. The Airflosser is rubbish though, but I see they have a water flosser now (I have a WaterPik).

Was initially very happy with mine. But was about to comment saying I would not recommend. But after reading if their good customer service I think I'll see if I can get mine replaced or repaired

    • As a couple of us have said, the Phillips is way better than Oral-B (and I've tried both).

Not worth it. I bought the old version(1st or 2nd gen) for ~$30 last year, it works better than my old $300 version because the button is not waterproof, and extra features are unnecessary.
