I signed up to Tangarine with the previous offer of $60 cashback and never got it.. tracked, was supposed to be paid by sept end, still nothing. Raised a ticket with shopback and waiting.

Same thing happened to me with Exetel. Raised a ticket and got paid. So, there is hope.

Contact GYB here would be much faster. He Shopback’s rep.

Tangerine are real sticklers for authorising referrals. None of my referrals (approx x8) were paid and I had to chase and prove to them for each one i.e. let them know the persons name and account number. I hope ShopBack are fully across this and have the OK by Tangerine.

Make sure you screen record if signing up in case of any tracking issues. Saves the hassle down the line if not paid.

      • All mine got paid. 6 months worth.

        There is a limit afaik

        • They did pay them but I had to give them the name and account numbers of the people I referred.
Usually one would not know this if for example using referral links here in OZB. I had to ask them.
In short, they don't permit random referrals and meant to be only for family, friends etc who you know. All rather strange.
It's probably Tangerines way to police this condition: By posting your unique referral code on bargain websites you run the risk of your unique referral code being deactivated.

          • @Borg: Ok, I got a heap of referrals last time through here. I don't know how they can differentiate between them.

Never had to chase them up.

It's not like the URL is public or code published anywhere.

            • @Korban Dallas: No idea and was very annoying having to chase up. Perhaps they flagged my account for some reason? Even a family member sign up failed to pay. Weird.

    • I too never received $70 cashback, marked as pending as of Oct 13th. Have put in an enquiry, along with (I know, off topic) ebay plus membership cashback rejection also.

Same thing for me with Exetel, supposed to be paid early October, raised ticket and it’s still pending. GYB explained that ShopBack is waiting for Exetel to validate cashback and they can’t really do more than raise it with them. Who else is in the same boat?

I signed up with exetel through shopback as well however my 90days is not up yet. I suspect they’ll find an excuse to reject mine as I upgraded to fttp with exetel and my service number has changed.

  • Will this track?

    Optus: https://www.shopback.com.au/optus-cimet

$99 cash back that you can spend on identity protection.

    • Didn't receive a single dime from them. they aint gonna pay anything other than court ordered stuff. Best to NEVER SIGNUP TO HACKTUS

  • I'm a bit lazy admittedly, but… what are the terms here? Do I need to sign up for a minimum of xx months? Do I need to get a specific plan?

It's got the potential to be a great deal OP. I'm sick of Tangerine dropping out all the time, plus my signup discount has finished, so definitely keen on this.

You one need to click on the links to see:
"Customers need to be subscribed to the network for at least 90 days. Change of subscription may result to fully rejected cashback."

  • Eligible if churning from Exetel to Super loop?

  • I'm planning to move from Telstra. My Gen 2 modem should be okay? Am I able to specify in the application when I want the switchover to be done? My current plan is billed around middle of the month.

  • Stack with referrals? Abb been okay but expensive..

  • Decent deal. I only need 25/10 and e.g Superloop being $49.95 for first 6 months is a good price. If $99 applied then would be an absolute bargain. 50/20 being $54.95.

I assume that the $99 is still applicable to new customers on the discounted rate as am not seeing anything saying otherwise.

Apologies All, Upon further investigation these cashback offers all now require signup through econnex (a comparison site). That has raised eyebrows here in the past will the amount of personal information required and loose privacy policy, as such I will be expiring this post. If you wish to utilize these cashback offers I suggest doing your own further research into this. Apologies again, I recently utilized shopback for an exetel deal which did not utilize econnex.

Ha, yeah, it was me that highlighted the "Econnex" and their disgusting use of personal information and their sharing with every Tom, Dick and Harry! Stay clear or closely read their T&Cs as it is all noted there.

  • I got this on the 16th of July. Said it would be 15th of October to get cashback. Still pending….

    Went with tangerine

    • I signed up 1st July. Say available by 30th Sept. Chased up twice still nothing.
