To my fellow Ozbargainers, here is a site where you can vote on Australia's Worst commercial Beers. I have updated it with a few new listings, especially those from Aldi & Coopers.

I don’t get it… you upvote if it’s good or if it’s bad? Are beers at the bottom the bad ones or the good ones?

This has to be the most confusing ranking exercise I’ve ever tried being a part of

      • Sorry, vote it up if you think it's bad.

If you disagree with it being there vote no.

It's all fairy beer the way the ATO has a grip on alcohol over excise tax.
If you want a real beer now you either have to make it yourself or pay $100 a carton

Did you add Storm Brewing Co Super Dry Beer and Leo Imported Lager?

    • They should be there. Just no pix. They were about 1/2 way up, as there had been only 1 vote at that stage.

      • Rules are no craft beers, or imported beers

Should they be there at all if they are imported?

  • half the so-called imported beers are made here under license

    • -2

Surely they taste similar to the original overseas beer and can still be considered imported where it counts, the recipe and style of beer of the region it comes from was imported.

        Surely they taste similar

surely you've never compared them to make that statement :)

        • Why would Heineken sell "Heineken" in Australia that tastes significantly different to the Heineken sold around the rest of the world?

          • +1

@AustriaBargain: Because beer drinkers don't buy Heineken. People who buy it are buying the green bottle and label.

          • @AustriaBargain: Sounds crazy I know.

But it is what it is.

            • @iDroid: I've had Heineken in the UK and it tastes just the same as it does here.

              • @AustriaBargain: That's not really a good measure to reach a conclusion.

                It's just too subjective.

      • The Carlsberg made by Coopers for the last decade tastes nothing like the previous version, or the original/imported version.

      • All beer recipes are imported, we didn’t invent beer.

        • We have our own domestic brands with their own unique recipes.

  • I thought Foster's Lager be the #1 then Westend #2 lol

  • Great northern..

    • Should be on there. Added last night
