Wow. Its got lte modem. Handy for some i bet.

Screen could be brighter but for $900 why not.

Not bad price for a budget business laptop with DDR5 RAM and with 1 SODIMM slot free to upgrade, as well as three years of warranty.

  • Personally would rather not the SSD upgrade. So I can have the laptop brand new sealed, plus it would cost less.

    • And imagine if the pimple faced junior that did your ssd stripped a few case screws while he was at it! Bonus!

  • Wow. I was looking for an elitebook and couldn't hold out so bought a probook instead. Wish I didn't now.

    Why such crap screens!?

    • helps battery life with low brightness perhaps?

Im going with they trying to cut corners to bring the price down.

Because everyday consumers focus too much on the performance specifications, and retailers have learned to take advantage.

Cram the most powerful CPU into the smallest, cheapest chassis, and then slap on a plastic trackpad together with a dim display.

    • I mean, these are supposedly designed for office lol. It ain't no xps.

  • Ooooh best laptop deal yet. Fantastic spec for reasonable price, those IOs are very nice. And I'm a huge fan of the 6600U, can do some reasonable gaming on that igpu. Can play AAA games like god of war with some aggressive fsr.

  • for gaming would this be better than Ryzen 7 5800U with Vega graphics?

    • Probably, but even then, not much more than 10%.

The 6800U is the one you want, rdna2 should be 30% faster to the vega equivalent, but I've never seen a 6800u laptop sub 1k.

      • Any recommendations? I'm on the hunt.

        I don't mind over 1k.

Mainly work station, with music production.

Powerful CPU like the 6800u, with the ability to upgrade RAM!

        • I don't really have recommendation as I'm actually more researched on the gaming side of things.

But if you don't have the need for igpu, mainly to be used for music production, take a look at laptops with 11th gen I-7. They should be much cheaper than 6800s laptop, while being similar in cpu performance.

  • Nice to see Zen3+ laptops starting to become more common and cheap.

  • damn, out of stock after reviewing all the specs :(

    • @highmargin - if there's one more let me know!

Let that be a lesson to you. Buy first. Research later what did you just buy.

      /s

      • lol

    • You dodged a bullet, 45% NTSC screens are bloody awful. No matter how great the CPU.

  • What's this CPU compared to latest Gen in the Lenovo offering of late? Is this the same 6600U?

I'm waiting for something with fast CPU, and the ability to upgrade RAM.

I can probably love with a worse screen, no gaming and at home plan to connect it to an external monitor.

    OOS errrr

  • OOS damn

    • Always a better deal waiting for you :)

      • Hopefully Black Friday.

This looks pretty good, OLED SCREEN 600NITS.

No idea the difference between 6800H and 6800U

    • Not the same model, different processor (Intel).

        OP is better?

  • will this be back in stock soon?

  • I had one of these for a while, build quality is very questionable on them, extremely sharp edge for the bottom cover.

Also not very good heat management, so couldn't do sustained loads well.

The keyboard layout was very weird as well, power button next to the delete on the keyboard with same size and texture…

I don't know what screen this has but I would strongly suggest against the "privacy screen" the viewing angle in normal mode is horrible.
