Same price as Costco at the moment.

    • Costco requires membership

Costco also saves me 50c on fuel, so easy $30 saving every time I refuel. But who cares… All I wanted to say was, it you are closer to Costco and want one go and buy from there.

    • That's a good point, Smurfy. That makes sense for those close to Costco!

But this might be a better deal for those preferring to support small stores.

  • Incidentally, the price at Costco North Lakes today is $629.98.

However, I just sent JB Hi-fi a price-match request on their website last night and this morning I received the store manager's reply agreeing to match the $625 price. Then I went to JB Hi-fi and showed my JB Hi-fi Perks $10 welcome coupon at checkout and paid with my Amex in order to redeem my saved JB Hi-fi Amex (spend $100 or more, get $15 back) offer.

  • Thanks. Got 1 (good price)

  • If you are after picture quality and can stretch your budget, should pay a bit more (approx. $830 -> after cashback $730) for the slightly smaller TCL 55C635 ($100 cashback still available, last day is today, 14/11/2022), the native contrast ratio is also 5000:1

    Reasons:
    1. Quantum dot (QLED) - so the colours are much better and panel more energy efficient (main reason)
    2. Google TV
    3. better HDR support, TCL 55C635 supports HDR10+, dolby vision and HLG, whereas Hisense only mentioned dolby vision
    4. Has 4:4:4 support on 4k@60Hz 8bit colours - not mentioned anywhere on Hisense.
    5. Dolby Atmos + Onkyo audio
    6. Smooth motion rate 100 Hz
    7. Has 120Hz DLG (although it halves the resolution effectively when enabled, some people might still like it)
