Seems to be the top model in the "Retro" range.

Classic = $39.99
Classic+ = $49.99
Vintage = $59.99

It's probably designed more around looks than sound but reviews seem good. Might be a good gift?

  • Thanks OP, gonna give it a shot.

    Almost half the price of what the mint coloured one is currently priced at.

    Purchased via Cashrewards, so should be 3.5% cashback?

    • Yeah I didn't see the Mint coloured one. Worth noting though the reviews on that one seem worse. 3/5 stars average.

  • What reviews? 1 review on their website, and 3 on Amazon. I guess 16 reviews for the min coloured one, but also people expecting to sell these in the $190-200 range, which is obviously outrageous.

    • I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean. Are you saying they aren't honest reviews?
      I think you are making it more complicated for yourself than it needs to be.

      If you think it's worth a try for $21, buy it. If you think it's crap for $21 don't buy it.

      Not sure what other sellers selling it for $200 has anything to do with the deal since with most items you will find questionable listings for more than 10x the price. I don't think anyone is handing over that much money to a suspicious seller when these days you can quickly compare prices on google.

      I am not trying to roast you here, I just didn't get the points you are making in your comment. It's as if you didn't finish writing it. I was expecting some kind of criticism of the product itself or it's marketing?

      Anyway I think people can use their own judgement for whether they are going to buy something or not.

      • No, it wasn't a question about the validity of the reviews. You stated that 'reviews seem good.' I wanted to know which reviews, as Amazon seemed to have very few reviews of the product, as did their own website. I don't see 1-16 reviews and think that's a sufficient amount to make a judgement.

        I understand there are always items sold for far more than their worth. The only reason I brought that up was because that was the only listing I saw which had an even vaguely acceptable amount of reviews (16), as most other listings of this product had 0-2.

        I can't critique the product having never used it. I can critique suggesting 'the reviews seem good' when there's barely any reviews. I tried to use CCC to gauge whether the price was even a bargain, but the listings were so new there didn't seem to be any price history. I guess compared to their own website's MSRP it may be considered a bargain, but who uses MSRP as any indicator of what the product actually sells for.

          "You stated that 'reviews seem good.'"

          "Reviews seem good" means just that. They seem to be good. Not great. Not bad. I thought it was a valid description.
          If you are going to say the reviews should indicate otherwise, I expected you to have tried the product. Not trying to be difficult here that's just what I thought.

          I think those MSRP prices are in USD by the way on the US site, I just couldn't prove it. I listed the prices specifically to show the order in the "model range" for those who did not click the link, I was not trying to say "this is a good price compared to MSRP".

          And to be fair the $21 price is around half of the price of the same item on Amazon which is the other Mint colour.

          I have been seeing these Jam Audio Retro speakers in the "outlet" area of Amazon which is where I have often found great clearance deals such as the $42 EFM Bluetooth speaker deal which was my first post https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/704958. I previously saw the Jam Audio Classic+ speaker drop as low as $14 but didn't post it because I thought it might not be that good. But when I saw this Vintage speaker for $21 I thought it was good price for the top model.
