Thought the same but not because of a need/want. In the Asics range, the Novablast 3 is a much better running shoe.

Bruh. It’s been superseded months ago by the first rocker Kayano (which has also been on sale).
I’d purchase with absolute caution. This is a case of spending a little bit more and getting a significantly better, revised product. (I think I already have about 3k km on my 29’s and I love them)

I left Kayano after 26 or 27s. The design changes just didn't work for me. And the toe box got worn out on top very quickly.
What did you change to?
Glad it’s not just me, the material is wearing out at the top much faster than before. For my feet though they are still the most comfortable.
i have these but i cant put insoles in its way to tight and chokes top of my feet
apparently according to official website they did decent improvement for 29 compare with 28
