How to preorder PlayStation VR 2
Sony will be opening PSVR 2 preorders on Nov. 15, 2022. During its initial launch phase, Sony's next-gen headset can only be preordered via PlayStation's online store for those based in the US, the UK, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. You'll need to register your email address at the PlayStation site ahead of that date to be in with a chance of being invited to place a preorder. Submitting your email address does not guarantee you'll be able to snag a PSVR 2 in this first wave or that you'll even receive an invitation to try. Gamers outside those regions may be able to preorder a PSVR 2 from a participating local retailer, according to Sony's announcement. Local retailers will share more info on how that will work specifically in each location.

We expect that on or shortly after the device's February 2023 launch, third-party retailers in the countries listed above will be able to begin selling the PSVR 2, though odds are you'll have a hard time finding one for a while as has been the case with the PS5 itself since its launch.

We will, of course, update this guide with more ways to preorder a PlayStation VR 2 as they become available as well as highlight any PSVR 2 deals and bundles once those start to crop up

    I legitimately can only think of that Horizon thing and maybe 2 VR indies at the moment.

    Am I out of the loop? What are people scrambling to buy this for?

      Resident Evil 8 VR version looks pretty sweet. I'm hopeful GT7 will run in VR but not announced yet. Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners will be a lot better with a decent control scheme with the new controllers. Quite a lot of other games announced as well, Kayak VR looks pretty great.

      I don't blame anyone that doesn't preorder but I think it's pretty unlikely I won't get good use out of it.

        This, a million. The game was great but it was awful for PSVR1 and those move controllers.

      There'll be at least 20 titles at launch and it seems all existing PSVR1 titles are being updated for the new system. Half-Life Alyx still TBC.

      While a lot of money, it's actually very good value for the specs. Especially compared to other lower spec headsets such as Valve Index and Quest Pro.

        Adjusting for inflation, it's pretty close to PSVR1 pricing but includes a far better kit, with controllers.

        Cannay wait.

        Won't leave it to chance - I was so close to not pre-ordering the PS5 before it launched and look what happened there ha ha

        Oh fair enough. I didn't know about the back catalogue.

        If there's a chance this thing works on PC then I guess it would pique my interest too, got a couple of VR games there from various bundles and whatnot over the years. Might actually look into Alyx too.

        I think if you buy an All in one VR headset like the Quest 3 you can do wireless with a PC.
        So equal graphics but also almost equal price?? At least when looking at the new jacked PS5+PSVR2 prices.

    That's USA pre-registration for PS Direct pre-orders that we don't have here.

    It's already available to pre-order here since 10AM on Amazon/EBGames/JB HiFi.
