Ryobi 18V ONE+ 3-Piece Garden Care Kit with 2x 4.0Ah Batteries $399 @ Bunnings

140

It was on 'Black Friday deals' here. Kit product number: R18XBF42

I am not sure whether it qualifies for a deal post, and I am not sure if it is a good deal. $50 more than last year's deal which came with 1x4.0Ah and 1x2.0Ah batteries, and 1.5A charger. This one comes with 2x 4.0Ah batteries and 1x 2.0A fast charger. It should still have matched the last year's price here:

Lightweight mower with EASYEDGE deck Maintain your small garden with the RYOBI 18V ONE+ 3-Piece Garden Care Kit. All these tools are powered by the same 18V ONE+ Battery.

    Seems pretty generous

    • Ryobi removed all related links, too. Last year's similar deal was $349.

Is the mower any good compared to the 36v ryobi or the ego lawn mowers

  • any good for around 200m2 of grass?

    • What type of grass?

      • no idea what type, but kinda looks like buffalo

        • It should be able to do the job in one charge, assuming you aren't scalping the lawn (i.e. working too hard)

    • Get 36v ozito

  • 2 batteries, 1 charger. Headache 😲

    • You tend to collect chargers easily enough once you are in the eco system. But it’s not hard to deal with two is it?

        That's what she said

I've got 3 batteries and only ever have 1 charger in use. Have never had to charge them all at the same time

      • Some people find it hard to charge a battery while you are using another one apparently…

Standard price according to Ryobi's site?

  • Was $299 3 years ago in their Black Friday sales.

Kit works fine for small yards anbd short grass (<30cm). I've used it on 75m2 of grass and never had any issues.

      30cm grass?

      • Trim your bush mate

        • whipper snip the power pole

  • Expired Links no longer work.

  • I just bought it. (Maribyrnong, VIC)
3 of those were still there near check out. Not sure they have more stocks at the back or not.

I had this old version for many years, still going strong. Give away to my friend 😀. So I could have a new toys for myself.

Not big area but nice enough not carry the cord all the time. Let's see this toy work well or not. Used to have petrol Line Trimmer, once it was dead, didn't buy any, so use "old traditional method - hand" to do it. Hopefully this garden kits work well.

  • I ended up getting the better Ryobi HP brush-less for 399.. which includes the 350cfm blower and 28/33cm line trimmer and 6.0ah battery.. Obviously no mower included

  • Will this lawn mower be alright to mowe 150m2 (in total) of grass?

    • depends on your battery stock.

  • Still 3 left at thornleigh nsw
