TCL 75" 75C835 Mini-LED TV $1995 C&C/ in-Store Only @The Good Guys

240

Looks like the Good Guys have dropped the price on the 75c835 to $1995 ahead of black friday.

Normally you can get TGG deals a bit cheaper on their eBay store but can't seem to find it yet, though it may pop up at some stage. This is cheaper than the 75c825 dropped to as part of black friday sales last year, though TV prices to seem to have escaped inflation a bit

Be careful, the realcash and tcl promos have both ended. I bought this tv for $2070 last weekend and received $570 in cash back. Total out of pocket was $1470 (stacked with cba rewards $30 cash back). Awesome tv btw.

    • Do TGG have their own price guarantee? They've been changing the price a few times last month, I wonder how they'll react if people come in and want to claim the price difference.

      • If you added concierge service you can claim 30 day price guarantee.

Concierge 30 Day Price Guarantee is peace of mind shopping
When you add Gold Service Extras to your product purchase, you get the added benefit of Concierge 30 Day Price Guarantee. With Concierge 30 Day Price Guarantee - if you notice that the price of your product has dropped at The Good Guys or an approved competitor by more than $5 within 30 days of purchase, we’ll give you back 120% of the difference as a store credit.

I paid $2,236 at in-store on 9th Nov 2022 then delivered next day, and now 1,995.
        $241x120%=$289.2

        Second link can choice TGG.

A few minutes ago I tried but web site saying 'No Valid Dockets Found' or 'System is unavailable to respond. Please try again later.' and not able to chat with human(close 6pm).
        I'm gonna try tmr morning.
It's possible to TGG already calculated realca$h $300.
I hope to they price guarantee exclude cashback promotions.

        • checked with TGG and they said price guarantee is not cover the black friday period .

          • @jackyljj: That's pretty dodgy. From the T&C that @choory provided above it didn't say there's any exclusions…

          • @jackyljj: @davidl820
Just a few mins ago I made a claim through web site chat service because I already sent email 2 days ago but no answer till now. Staff found and checked my email then he(she) made a claim manually for me. It will be notified to me after 7~10 business days.
            I will update later.

I checked T&Cs but I couldn't found Black Friday exception.

            • @choory: @jackyljj @davidl820
Today I received price guarantee, TGG sent me by email named 30DPG Store Credit. It's not came into the my TGG storecash wallet because it is store credit.

I received $289.2 that expiry 25 Dec 2022. Much longer than storecash but same as storecash due to it's also able to use only one time. Not able to keep remained balance.

With this, I deducted 86% off my 5yrs concierge fee. Thanks TGG!

    • I bought it last week with all the sweet Cashbacks too. Needs to be delivered by end of month though and is on backorder. Hopefully they contact to deliver it soon.

Did they send you the links for the realcash and TCL Cashback with the invoice? They have disappeared from the website when the promo ended.

I just contacted them today and had to cancel my order. They expect to get stock January 2023 now…

        • +1

          Yeah I got screwed too.

They literally had mass stock come in a bit over a week ago and had stock in all stores and warehouse in WA. They then sold out all that stock and ignored the backorders.

I did however manage to use the web order code on the digital receipt to get the $300 realcash cashback into my bank account a few days ago ;)

I'm guessing I will be cancelling too and missing out on TCL cashback. Scumbags.

If you have your weborder code try for the realcash rebate.. let me know how you go.

          • @Madkant: Yeah, I got a digital gift card with the $300 on it that I've been using. I figure I'll get this from JB at $1995 and it will be pretty similar. $1995 - $300 real cash plus I've got Ultimate everyone cards at 10% off so by my maths $1995 x .9 (10% off with gift cards) = $1,795.5 and then take off the $300 real cash = $1,495.5 and I don't have to worry about redeeming through TCL or anything

            • @Paulb5: They actually found one for me today, turns out they assigned my order to somewhere on the East Coast instead of WA! They had a couple left in one off the stores over here, maybe a cancelled order, not sure.

    • I've got 65C835 with the cash back etc for $1179, but I feel like I should've went for the 75inch for $300 more.

    • +3

may i know how you get the 570 cash back? tcl cash back is 200 plus 70 store cash. also 2070 is the ticket price for 75 c835?

    • +2

How did you get for $2070, did you buy instore? The online price with the discount was 2291?

    • Also keen to know how to you got it for that price with those cashbacks? Did you do the Soundbar 20% off? I was quoted nowhere near that price last week.

    • I am looking for a 75 inch tv. I have an android tv currently but that hangs up sometimes. No complains as it was a dirt cheap smart HDR 4k LED kogan tv 50 inches for ~440 aud almost 3 years ago.
Planning to take a dip into some premium larger TVs and wondering how does this tv compare to the Samsung Q70B QLED 4k smart tv(~1900 aud Costco) .

Can anyone guide me with which one is better ?

      I don’t want to spend above 2000 aud for a 75 inch + TV

      Any guidance is appreciated

My friend got tcl 75p735, for $990, if you have the external sound system then you can get this cheap TV, but the quality is not as good as the C835 miniled.

        • Appreciate the reply! Thanks

I think if you go back to them, they may refund you the difference. I am still waiting on my Tv from back order.

    • I got a call today for delivery tomorrow :) Yours shouldn't be too far away I suppose.

      • When did you place the order. And which state are you in ?

        • Ordered on 8/11, QLD

          • @davidl820: Oh.. i oedered on 10/11. Victoria

          • @davidl820: Hey mate have you got you invoice yet? I ordered on the 8/11 too and awaiting delivery (WA). Worried that the invoice will not state the day I ordered TV but the delivery date for the TCL Cashback (ended 9/11)

            • @Madkant: Ask online chat people to send you a copy before the local store confirms a delivery date.

I am glad I did yesterday as the order date on the invoice has changed to 16/11 !!

      • Are you guys in WA? I'm waiting on mine too. Do you have the links for the realcash and TCL Cashbacks? They disappeared from website when promo ended

        • Realcash deal ended on 9/11 and TCL cashbach ended on 15/11. Technically if you bought TCL tv by 15/11 you may be eligible for cashback.

          https://tclpromotions.com.au/

          • @XedeX: Hey mate yeah I ordered it on 8/11

          • @XedeX: Just a note, i purchased the tv on-line on the 8th and picked up on the 15th… my invoice says purchased on 15th… so i do hope any deliveries say the right date on them else TCL may not ay ball. Just a heads up.

If anyone gets TGG to get a refund from last weeks click frenzy price difference it would be great to know :)

            • @exxoz: Yeah I'm a bit worried about the invoice date too. I have a feeling it will say the delivery date even though I payed for it on the 8th.

              • @Madkant: I call it dodge ss if you have paid in full, thats your purchase date. Might be worth a call to them to pre empt it and get a proforma pdf invoice sent beforehand

            • @exxoz: Hey i actually tried to do this on Monday and they told me since my order was already completed and I had the tv there was nothing they could do.

The guy said if it hadn't been delivered or picked up and hence not completed maybe I woudve been eligible for a click frenzy refund.

They have the cut off day for 7th December so you should be good to lodge it.

          • @davidl820: Thanks for the link. Hopefully is delivered soon

  • Out of stock in WA :(

Will need to go in store I guess

  • Keen for the 65c935 but it doesn't seem to be available yet let alone discounted. Luckily I'm not in any hurry.

    • +1

Me too, but I already bought c835… What's next of C935? I think I will buy 85" or bigger in 3yrs.

    • I dont think there is much difference between C935 and C835. On the TCL website, when i compared, i only saw the C935 superior in Audio specs and being lighter in weight. I couldn't find any significant difference between the 2, specifically relating to video specs.

      • Pretty sure it has nearly four times the dimming zones (1080) which should mean very little haloing around bright objects against dark backgrounds.

      • +2

        There are 2 big differences.

        Dimming zones
        75" C835 has 360, 65" 288 and 55" 240
        75" C935 has 1920, 65" 1080

        Sound
        C835 has 2.1ch 40w
        C935 has 2.1.2ch 60w

        If TGG sales C935 this year I didn't buy C835 but…

  • Same price at JB now.

  • Same price at Binglee now.

  • Purchase from Bing Lee - Hopefully its nice.

Coming from a 5 year old 65" Aldi UHD TV so I'm expecting it to be an improvement over that at least.

  • I am still unsure about this tv. Everything suggests it is better than the hisense u8h but in store the u8h definitely looks better. It is possible the tcl demo content is just crap, but thus far i can't conclude it's as amazing as its supposed to be. Has anyone compared it directly to the u8h with the same higg def content?

    • I got 65C835, I believe, felt that the TCL was better quality than Hisense, So I went for the TCL. I already feel 65inch is not big enough, should've gone with the 75inch.
I reckon It's pretty good miniled TV.

      • should've gone with the 75inch.

        No TV is too big

    • All the reviews indicate the c835 is probably best value and can compete with the bigger brands.

Obviously if you can afford LG or Sony, go with them.

This is the demo video. Imo it's a piece of crap and not representative of the tv. Can others try it on oled etc and confirm?

  • Not the best price but I was able to get the 75" bundled with Jb extra care for $1980.
