The nausea, dizziness and vomiting caused by any form of transport are triggered by a confusion of messages received in the brain. Although you may be sitting motionless in a seat, your senses tell you that you are actually moving. Contrary to common belief, the resulting nausea is not "all in the mind" and is experienced by children and adults alike.

The Anti-Nausea Wristband is a knitted elasticated wristband, which operates by applying pressure on the Nei Kuan acupressure point to relieve the feelings of motion sickness. They are suitable for adults and children. The Anti-Nausea Wristband may be washed with a mild detergent in warm water without losing its elasticity.

  • Without trying to sound naive, but so these really work? I've heard the use of magnets and these accupuncture type devices to relieve motion sickness but have never bothered to try and see. How do they compare to more traditional remedies such as ginger tea and peppermint lollies on long road trips?

  • yeah it works. you can pinch the same pressure point by hand though

  • I can confirm that these devices actually DO work (for some people at least).
Now, I'm a BIG sceptic, but our son went through a period of getting badly car sick whenever went for a country drive. My wife tried a set of these pressure point wrist bands out of desperation… Low and behold they worked! Our boy wasn't ever car sick again when he used the bands.

  • "I'm a BIG sceptic, but am convinced about the efficacy of treatments based on personal anecdotes".

Looks like the magic wristband deal's over, but it's been replaced with Santa ties that have flashing lights, which likely have similar healing properties (the tie absorbs your aura and channels it to the flashing light, which senses your ailment and emits the appropriate healing energy).

  • Doh! over so soon?.. was gonna put an order in tonight..

  • Ended too quickly! Wanted to order some too. My GF swears by these, so yes, for some people at least they do work very well.
