As they released more expansions they put up the price but announced they were doing so and put the game on sale every time in advance.
So you were buying less content but got the content that was promised in the Kickstarter stretch goals for buying before it was completed for a lower price.
They were open and clear about their process.
I see, thanks for the info. It is little confusing they could have released a dlc instead of price increase.
Underrated game.
You get to play as the protagonist and with the DLCs included, 3 antagonists that shares the same world but different time periods.
The DLCs are not just tacked on to the base game but the developers have actually redesigned the stages and world for each of the bad guys.
Best part of the game for me was the platforming, pixel art and the story. I think the developers really poured their heart into this collection and it's shown when their DLCs was supposed to be a small add-on but they saw the potential to make 3 more bigger game out of it and did.
Each of the knights plays very differently and i remember it was such a joy when another DLC was released.
Just to re-iterate, it's 4 games in one with this collection as well as a pvp mode (which I have not tried). Great value and high quality platforming here.

Might want to consider this, it was less than $17 before according to deku deal. The publisher jacked up the price in 2020 for some reason?
