Best Quiet Pedestal Fan?

Hi all, after a very quiet pedestal fan for use when sleeping - I don't have a ceiling fan unfortunately and as it warms up it becomes quite hot. I struggle to sleep with loud fans (previously tried a Dimplex high velocity fan). Budget is $100 but would prefer to spend less if possible.
Cheers!

  • The Xiaomi DC pedestal fans… they are amazing

    • Agree dc fans I thought were always going to be overrated but now working towards replacing all the pedestal fans in house with dc fans

  • Breville air circulator

I got the Kogan DC (older version) ones and they are pretty great. Apparently the new one has less speed options but on the lowest setting I can't hear it

    • +1 for the Kogan DC fan. On settings 1-3 it's very quiet and is just a nice quiet breeze. Also has a timer, so we normally set it to run for a couple hours.

  • DC fan with a more than 3 settings. Sleep mode or at least 25 settings.

Search OZ bargain for DC fan posts in the past and check them out. You may end up spending up to about $140 for a decent DC fan if it's not on special.

Do NOT get an AC fan for the bedroom as it will keep you awake no mater what the salesperson says.

Agree about the kogan DC fan - has been great and I am not a fan of Kogan normally

  • I got Heller DC fan for $88 from ebay recently. Haven’t used it yet since it is like winter again in Melbourne after a couple of weeks of summer.
It is my first DC fan so I am not sure if it is good but I was expecting it would be a bit more quiet than it is. The quality of the build seems comparable to a $30 normal fan though.
