If only WD made microSD cards…

Technically Sandisk is owned by Western Digital.

        • These products show on the WD Amazon storefront

        • TIL.

Will it fit in a Nintendo Switch? Asking for a friend

      • +1

Yep. Got the same in my Nintendo Switch.

      • Yes, and it's exactly what I've been looking to get… Have just been waiting for better pricing!
The one listed below (120Mb/s) that's a couple of dollars cheaper will also work perfectly in it.

      • This micro-sdxc is more for photography or documents.
If you do lots of video shooting and video games playing on Nintendo Switch Console, then this is not recommended as its speed is much slower.
You need at least U3 for video games or GoPro Videos.
        This micro-sdxc is only U1.

        • Thanks, I was actually making a joke about the 20tb HDD comment fitting. Appreciate the very informative answer all the same ๐Ÿ™‚

        • Not true when it comes to the Switch.
Even Nintendo only recommend it be capable of 60 - 95MB/sec.

        • I assume this won't be good for dashcams then.

@Temppp14: Uses for anything related to video uploads or download and capturing videos or playing video games with high resolution quality HD or 4K, then it is recommended to use SanDisk Extreme PRO &/or SanDisk Extreme MicroSDXC with at least โ€œA2, U3, and V30โ€; even if you choose other brands such as Samsung EVO Select or Samsung EVO Plus or Samsung PRO Plus. The price are more expensive too for this premium MicroSDXC memory card.

        • Stop spreading wrong info. The switch console only supports UHS-1 cards, which have a maximum possible speed of 104MB/s

Extreme and Extreme Pro is overkill for switch and cannot go beyond UHS-1 speed

Not a bad price at all! But I'll HODL for the 1TB or at least the Evo Pro Plus 512GB at around $70-80.

  • Thanks

  • is this or was this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/734381, deal better?

    • +1

It is slower than this current deal. Toshiba deal was 95 mb/s compared to Sandisk 120mb/s

    • +1

I got the Toshiba one and using it for my Steam Deck. Seems to work fine so far and as far as I'm concerned they are pretty similar in specs and Read/Write speed anw.

  • I didn't expect this to be cancelled…

  • The 256GB is more expensive

I just bought this one instead for $61.41. Think itโ€™s a different model (120mbps vs 150mbps)?

  • Even better when combined with the 2 x CR $3 Amazon GC cashback offers I had from the other day. ;)

  • Glad the one i bought from amazon uk weeks ago still cheaper. They are still sealed lol

  • If i need just for my S20 plus phone, do i need sandisk extreme or this card is enough for video recording and photo ?

    • Love to know too ๐Ÿ‘

      • I did a bit of googling, s20 plus will not record 4k video directly to SD card, instead 4k recording will be saved to internal storage. So not really have any benefit to get the sandisk extreme
