Is Anti-Glare/Anti-Reflective Glasses Essential for Everyday use?

I am thinking of getting glasses but I am unsure if I should get the lens with anti-glare or anti reflection. Is it helpful for driving and everyday use?

I think anti-reflection for everyday use is essential. For driving I would get prescription sunglasses.

  • If you getting from costco, its comes as standard.

  • I use glasses most of the time, including when driving. I have never felt any particular need for any special coatings and have never experienced any noticeable glare, even though I'm normally driving towards the sun in the morning and on my way home.

  • Google driving glasses and have a good read on the articles so you know the differences between sun glasses, driving glasses and anti-xxxx coatings as they are all different.

I'd say yes, I don't like seeing my own eyeballs reflected back at me.

  • I just got new glassed from specsavers for use in the office, really struggle without the anti reflective especially in rooms with multiple lights

My driving sunglasses are polarized. For me polarized driving are a must as they cut road surface glare.

  • Polarized best for anti-glare.

  • I used to get nasty headaches. I got the anti-glare put on a pair of glasses for work. It did the trick. It's worth getting it if you're on a computer all day at work.
