A shame they won't post to me in VIC

Same. It's so unfortunate because with Ebay plus you can pay only AU $1,268.00 using a coupon. If you can pick this up, this is an insane deal with the coupon. Nice find @Kale

        • What coupon is that?

          • @maverickjohn: It's in my eBay summary listed as: Spend and Save up to $120: SNSMD2xxxxxxx (I think its unique for each user)

$120 when they spend $1,000 or more (excluding postage) in one transaction

            • +1

@OutOfTime: Thanks for your response :) appreciate it. i guess the snsnov will bring it down $100 later today

            • +2

@OutOfTime: seems to be targeted as I haven't bought anything over $500 in the last 6 months and doesn't appear in my eBay summary (I'm an ebay plus member)

    • Did they update the listing

relogged and seeing 1 unit sold and 0 available

Previously saw 3 sold and more than 10 available

A lucky OzBargainer got it judging by the timestamp

thanks, just ordered for $1288 using the $100 off coupon (SNSNOV) and pickup

      • Well done :)

    brief review

i got this for about 2k at release, been using it since for gaming and desktop
on some weekends between work and play it gets about 10 hours use from documents/games

for workflow its great having multiple screens open, and for gaming hands down the best experience i have had to date
also on that note @ 4k, even with a 3080 i get over 100fps in the new cod for example sake without doing any tuning

no burn in, zero issues. i was on a ultrawide before and for games this is an amazing product, for movies its a great experience as well
this has some cool features like ultrawide mode for games - and with speakers (i have two big desktop speaker s3000 pro's) it has a feature that allows you to connect to the tv and use the tv speakers + the desktop speakers, the tv speakers act like a sound bar for a broader sound stage however i have this thing in a small office room, i think it would be a lot better if you got the bigger tv (55 - 65") for home cinema etc

hope this helps potential buyers some (y)

    • Any tweaks to desktop such as removing desktop icons or screensaver every 5 minutes of inactivity ?

      • +4

it has a feature built in that auto dims if no activity or if on a page for a long time, but the second you move the page it will return to full brightness
its prob worth a mention i dont use HDR on desktop mode, as i dont need the brightness, i just use HDR on movies and gameplay for the experience
the HDR is so fkn bright on websites that use 'dark/night mode' the text hurts your eyes because the screen is pitch black and the white text is like shining a light in your face

it also has a feature called pixel shift or something like that, so if you are in a game for a long time it will shift your health bar a few pixels up, then down, left, then right so the same pixels are not static in the one spot resulting in burn-in, its very hard to notice that in-game though, i only ever notice it on my fps counter

then it also has a pixel refresh option where the tv will self-clean the pixels. not too sure what it does or how it works, its only ever done that once so far in its 3ish month-old lifespan. i expected it to do more because of how much abuse i have put it through but so far just the once (this option will pop up on screen for you to confirm, then it does it upon the tv being restarted)

if you are in a hdr movie and pause it after 2-3 minutes it will put up a very dark screen saver (this feature is if you are using it as a tv, so watching a movie from a usb hard drive etc not in desktop mode via pc/gpu)
it has like 5 dif features built in to counter burn in, on youtube they have a lot of tuning videos to 'get the most' out of the monitor but i have not used any of them as for me the out of box experience has been outstanding

this is just my out of the box experience however, you can go the extra mile and set screen timeout in windows etc

oh its prob worth noting, since i have had this tv they have released about 10+ updates, two a month isnt uncommon. i never check what its updating, i think its just the adds or services like netflix. but it does have a lot of support it seems (for this i believe you need to have it connected to the internet itself, so put in your wifi password)

        • You should also let some videos play before turning off the TV, which have constantly moving content. Especially if you have been playing games or browsing with static images. It will keep the pixels moving and not have that as the last image which will further increase burn in potential. Like what people used to with Plasmas and have the white noise play before turning the TV off, it kind of wipes the screens image memory.

  • Thanks OP, just wondering where I can get the cheap eBay or BingLee GC?

  • Thanks. I got the 65" a few months back and it is a great TV. Highly recommend it. Planning on using this one as my PC monitor.

Picked up mine from Burwood, buying an Ergotron HX from Scorptec and got a VESA adapter from Wagner in Summer Hill. Trecking all around the inner west but it's gonna be a good night of gaming tonight!

    • +1

care to link the VESA adapter? I ordered on Amazon US because couldn't find anything locally

      • +2

This is the one I got, works perfectly. Took me a bit of Googling to find it this morning, but luckily only 5 mins down the road to pickup at their store (and much cheaper than Amazon for the same thing, too). It also same with all the screws, nuts and standoffs required, but you will need a tiny wrench to get them on the Ergotron side

        • Heading down there now cheers

        • thanks for this… i've been searching for a place locally all day

        • Thanks, did the plate come with screws? Looks like Yes.

    • great idea with the Ergotron HX and Vesa adapter.

so tempted to upgrade from the AW3821DW.

you reckon one needs to buy extra warranty from Bing Lee?

      • was thinking the same, although $215 from Bing Lee is a bit steep considering the JB Replacement is only 10% of the item cost ($138) and covers everytihng

  • JB did price match this also. Ordered one locally in WA.

  • OOS

  • I got JB online to price match (even after it went out of stock at Bing Lee).
    Picking mine up later today!

  • Back in stock at Bing Lee. I just added to cart.

  • Gutted they won't deliver to SA

    • +2

Just ordered it from the Good Guys eBay with a 100 coupon for $1288 If you couldn't get local pick up from Bing Lee. They can also deliver for 35 if there's none in stock locally.

      • +1

        Awesome! Thank you!

  • Prices live at JB. Just got my LG C2 42 for 1388
