  • Tempted , but, i will wait for the New bulbs to be released

    • Do you have any more information on these new bulbs that are to be released? Just out of curiosity, I just started using Hue so would be good to know if I should hold off or if the improvements aren't worth the savings on the current sale.

      Thanks!

They stop the release a few months ago as there was a Syncing fault, but, still on the table for release, dont know if Australia is going to get it yat

        • Appreciate you removing the smartass comment, I did already try google, the reason why I asked is nothing relevant RE new products came up, only the current line up.

Its more about whether the new product is worth the extra spend, at the end of the day its a lightbulb, theres only so useful updated products will be so thats why I want to make sure, if theres a feature that makes them worth it I will wait.

Thanks for sending the link, it doesn't tell us much so will probably just jump on the good deals currently available..

      • If its cheap, just go on what you feel like and save for newer models later ;)

Its just messy situation now with bluetooth support discontinuing when matter is implemented but they cant switch lights sold today from bluetooth to thread.

  • According to https://www.philips-hue.com/en-au/p/hue-white-filament-1-pac… it's 550lm so not very bright

These are more for ambiance over visibility, if you want brighter bulbs better off going for the 1100lm or 1600lm bulbs - note these are "white ambiance" - my preferred option, colour is a bit gimmicky imho and just white means you cant make them warm for late at night or early morning, an essential ability I reckon!. Not as fancy looking but I guess that's the trade off, the OP ones are more for looks.
