  • No delivery to post code 3551 (FWIW)

  • Do I have to get a separate frame and stand for this TV?

    • comes with a standard black bezel and stand as pictured, can purchase frame attachments and a separate gallery stand

      • Also comes with no gap wall mount

    • +1

As mention has the mounting flush bracket is included, but if you're going to buy this tv look at the rotating wall mount. Pretty cool. Rotate landscape/portrait.

      • +1

I believe the 65" is the max size for the rotating mount

Seriously considering the 85” if the oleds dont get any cheaper this year.
So I guess this is equivalent to a Q80b or something. The daytime display content at the store seems generally fine for my eyes.
Does anyone have any feedback about real world night time viewing?

I've had one for around 5 months in the bedroom.

Honestly, the overall picture quality is quite average, especially for the cost. Content with bright colors are not too bad and its surprisingly good for gaming (fast response time and fluid 120hz compatible). The biggest drawback is very poor black levels (they look grey) and most sets have splotches of white spots.

That said, even with the downsides, it is my favorite tv for the bedroom due to the art mode feature and its design. You really have to experience if for yourself in person to see just how believable it looks like art. It's a really cool feature and people often get confused by whether it's a tv or not.

TLDR; Get it if you care about art mode and design aesthetics. There are many TV's with significantly better picture quality at a similar cost if that is your priority.

      • Yeah, the matte screen wasn't for everyone.

I have the 2021 model which more like a normal QLED TV.

Regarding black level with some adjustment it did look better but of course still no way to compare it with OLED or mini LED.

      • Totally agree. Very mediocre picture and mine has very noticeable white spots.

        • Whitespots annoy the crap out of me.

I’ve got an lg oled in our living room at the moment and think it is the bomb
…. but my significant other can’t stand the reflections or how black black is.

I’ve promised her no reflections and.no black on something that doesn’t look like a tv this time around with this TV.

    • I am after Samsung OLED too but a 75 inch which they don't have at the moment.
Hoping next year they would make 75 inch OLED.

        They have 77"

I got this from Bing Lee direct, they include a bonus bezel by redemption from Samsung which is apparently important to my interior designer.

Bing Lee $2488 + $40 del to Brisbane (with bonus bezel)
    Videopro have it for $2380

better price can be had (~$1900) by asking Samsung Store chat for a loyalty voucher and providing details of an already owned product. Just did this and got the 75", not too bad for the price paid.

    • Samsung Store chat for a loyalty voucher and providing details of an already owned product. Just did this and got the 75", not too bad for the price paid.

Their sales figure really not that good, a lot of people received their loyalty voucher.

      • i dont know what you mean. Just checked and I paid $1,959.30. When I called about an issue with the frame, I was offered another loyalty voucher. I don't think there's a limit to the amount of vouchers, but I could be wrong?

        • I mean Samsung is giving out a lot discount and a lot loyalty voucher, their sales are not doing very good this year.

        • Was this for a 2022 75"? Seems like a really good price! What issue did you have with the frame?

          • @dimsum2: yup, the 75" 2022 model, brilliant price! it's what made us pull the trigger, cant go wrong at sub-$2000.

It…… actually has a lot of issues, but that's coming from a tinkerer who immediately tried to add Home Assistant and block the ads on the Home Screen (of which there are so (profanity) many). One issue was my possibly misreading of how the Motion Sensor activates the art work ambient display, still have to play around to understand it. Another was that I can't actually cast my Z Flip 3 screen to the TV, but again, it may have been user error as I have blocked a lot of Samsung services on it. Have tried a Factory Reset and updated the Flip 3 to Android 13 but yet to try again.

Feel free to ask any questions you might have! I honestly have been loving it, no complaints on picture quality, the other TV we were going to get was the LG C2 and I'm glad for the space where we mounted it, we went with The Frame. I've been watching my partner play God of War on PS5 the last week or so, plus we've been watching some 4K content. Vodafone Box really didn't play well, but have a Shield Pro coming today to replace that, so fingers crossed.

            • @jupy: Did you successfully suppress the ads or are you living with them? If it's the latter do they bother you at all?

              • +1

@turkz1: I suppressed all ads, using the following in AdGuard on HA, DNS of the TV is pointing to the HA IP.

                ||tvx.adgrx.com^
                ||lcprd1.samsungcloudsolution.net^

            • +1

@jupy: Thanks for that, glad to hear the picture quality is good, will have to look into blocking these ads once I get the tv haha

            • @jupy: Can you elaborate on the motion sensor challenges you have?

Also, if you do that, how well does self-hosted/provided art material work?

              • @MerlinKlendatu: I just don't think I properly understood how it works, I want the art to turn on when I enter the room, as well as turn off after X amount of time of nobody being in the room etc. I don't think the former works, but the latter should.

                • @jupy: Agree on that approach/assumption. So when does it turn off, only manually?

                  • @MerlinKlendatu: there's a few options to set times, 15 mins being the shortest. i dunno, i try to remember to only "sleep" it into the art mode when i leave the room, but usually im turning the tv off completely at night. not getting much daytime use but it sure looks pretty in art mode!

        • @rya How long did delivery take?

Thanks to your comment I got a voucher via live chat earlier today for 30% off. Came to $1749.30 for the 75". Unreal price, thanks again!

      • That's amazing! How'd you manage to get 30% off? I was only given a 15% off voucher.

      • How does this work and what owned device details you have to provide?

      • I just asked for a loyalty voucher and gave details for a Galaxy Note a bought a few years back.

      • oh..i didn't know Bing Lee gave loyalty discounts

      • +2

oiiiiiiii better than the price i got! grats mate, happy ozbargaining!

      • That’s awesome. How long does the code last before it expires. Do you have at least a few days, or does it have to be used on the spot.

        • Code had an expiry. Valid for 5 days.

      • I got the 30% code from Samsung chat as well, using the details of my Z Flip 3 phone.

It looks like they have an internal system to generate the promo code based on the Samsung product you owned, and the stuff you wanna buy. You can give them a few model numbers to try.

They told me I can only get a 15% off for the 65"/75" OLED, but 30% for the Frame (both 65" and 75")

$1749 for the Frame 75" is a no brainer.

However the "free bezel promotion" do not stack with the promo code.

YMMV but I think this should be posted as a bargain on its own.

        • This code is for Samsung@eBay or Samsung direct order somehow?

          • @MerlinKlendatu: Samsung Online Store, speak to their online chat for the code. Surprisingly easy but there is a queue.

      • +1

Thanks to your comment I also got a 30% discount. Just pulled the trigger, $1749 is crazy. Can confirm the free bezel does not apply.

        Thanks Oz Bargainers :)

        • @Looty83 Any idea on delivery date? I purchased mine on 9th Nov, still no TV. First delivery date was 23rd Nov.

          • @raven3090: I got mine delivered yesterday. right on schedule.

            • @RichDad PoorSon: When did you order?

              • @raven3090: placed mine on 24th Nov

                • @RichDad PoorSon: Woah in a week!!! That's amazing. It's going to be a month on Friday since my order :(

                  • @raven3090: When you placed your order, didn't they give you date options for delivery? They did on mine, and I just chose the delivery date. I think I even could've had it a day or two sooner if I wanted to.
dont worry mate, mine is still in the box - its going up on the wall tomorrow!

                    • @RichDad PoorSon: It did and soonest was 24th Nov which was 2 weeks from date of order ie. 9th Nov. I live in VIC according to their website, estimated up to 45days.
I am just worried about getting my order lost in corporate bureaucracy as their customer service cannot tell me where my order is or when I can expect delivery. All they say is 'it's on their way'. I would accept that if it's being built and shipped from Korea.

                    • @RichDad PoorSon: Hi, Did you wallmount yourself or did you get professional service? I am trying to connect to ANC the delivery company but they are saying to refer to samsung.

                      • +1

@Raskids10: I get someone to do it. cost about $400 incl.gst but its proper, covered with insurance as well.
better to be safe than sorry. the good thing is the tv comes with its own wall-mount

    • How did you get it down to $1900

The frame 75' is $2500 on Samsung website. Then$50 newsletter + $100 loyalty would only take it down to $2350?

      • Never mind! asking the Samsung store chat I got it down to $1750 Amazing deal on the 75 inch

    • @rya how long did delivery take?

  • Been eye-ing the frame for a little while, at $1750 it's a no brainer. thanks op!
too bad the free bezel is not included

  • The 75” is a bit big for my place. Shame the 65” isn’t already on sale the others sizes.

Has anyone heard what the power usage is like on these in picture mode ?

    • Good grief, what a mess of that sentence. And no edit button 🙁. Shame the 65” isn’t on sale like the other sizes I meant to say.

  • Can I ask what's everyone's opinion after using the TV? I'm having a hard time with the stutter. Watching through native app, Apple TV, normal TV. Playing with the Picture exper setting (turning off some options) - but the stuttering is pretty noticeable, not one you'd expect from a tv capable of up to 200Hz.
