No box FHR 3070… Didn't know ozb ex-miners got full warranty ;)

How could a no-box card be brand new?

    • +10

so they whipped it out of the box & did nothing with it….. I dont think so. There's something they arent telling us

To me, "new" means never been fiddled with or touched

      • +8

New means wrapped and sealed too.

Unless perhaps they get these in wholesale 1m x 1m boxes with only foam in-between each card to use for their pre-builds perhaps? That would be the only explanation I can think of, but they'd have to mention that somewhere.

This is shady af. Brand new card but no box? wtf

    • +1

I agree, but they also give a 3 year warranty so…? I genuinely have no idea, it makes no sense. What happened to all the boxes?

      • I haven't heard of the company before, the warranty could be worth as much as the box it's written on

  • +3

    Yes but no

ex mining cards, (I always suspected that stores were hording cards for their own mining rigs)

    • I mean the proof would be the cards would be pretty dusty as its hard to clean them 100% after open case mining. Plus there would be oil leeching out of the thermal pads.

  • Needs an explanation.

  • +1

This equates to NoName card !!

  • Are these RMA cards? Flood damaged boxes?

  • my theory is that people claimed RMA with Skycomp and then Skycomp held these FHR cards when it was returned from RMA back when FHR cards were at a premium hoping to profit more and just gave the customer a new LHR card from their existing stock back instead. Now they are clearing these….

  • Tbh I don't really know too much about GPUs but could be worth giving them a ring? Might clarify some of the above.

How can it be a brand new unit when it doesn't have the box, stop selling second-hand s*** here.

  • +1

    link no goes to nothing.

  • Some idiot probably bought it
