Was browsing the Black Friday deals on Amazon and came across this. Useful for those who are interested in a bluetooth speaker from a decent brand at a good price. I'm not as familiar with JBL products (more of a Bose fan), however, at work there is a JBL GO which packs a great punch for something so small, which I find quite impressive.

Price History at C CamelCamelCamel.

Got the jbl go and go 2 and they do pack a wallop for such a tiny device.

As for the jbl charge 4. Cheapest was $100 2 years ago. So $20 more aint so bad.

    • Yeah, the JBL GO/GO2 is extremely impressive given how small it is. And the one we have at work is probably not so well looked after either (i.e. constantly plugged in for charging, not handled so carefully) but is still holding up.

obligatory comment that JBL Charge 5 is $135 on Good Guys Commecial

    • Is this going live Friday or Monday?

      • Good guys commercial usual price, has been like this since just after JBL5C release, I bought mine a year ago for that.

        • Oh right, I read it as a TV commercial, not their commercial site - my bad 😆

Thanks OP, I saw it on Amazon's BF page as well, but I was unease with how JBL left Charge 4 behind :/
Still a great standalone unit though !

    Note*
    Charge 4 is Bluetooth 4.2, and uses JBL's Connect+
Charge 5 is Bluetooth 5.1 and uses JBL's PartyBoost

PartyBoost and Connect+. cannot crosslink with each other

  • Good deal to get 2 units and play in stereo mode. I do the same with the newer model charge 5 and it’s pretty good

    • do you need to use an app to link them? Thats what puts me off buying 2x Charge 4 speakers

      • No they have a button for pairing. If you pair 2 they go to stereo mode by default. If you pair 3 or more they go in party boost mode (meaning they all play mono). It’s a great system imho

  • I love my Charge 4 speaker. Such a good device.
$119 does seem a little high for a last gen model though.

  • great
