    The Bunnings one goes above you and this one goes below you? All jokes aside, ground sheet usually allows the sand/dirt to fall through the mat but not come up through the mat - it's one directional. Check out videos about Cgear branded ground mat if you want to see it in action. Originally designed for military helicoptors to land on so the sand/dirt didn't get stirred up and create a horrible situation.

    I have a c-gear mat for use under a gazebo where we eat and relax

    Under my tent and extending to the entrance of the tent I use a cheap shade cloth from bunnings.

    The C-gear is 2 layers of shade cloth of different colours. Sturdily stitched together with lots of D rings around the side so you can peg all the edges down and reduce tripping.

  Hey guys, can anyone explain benefits of mesh over a tarp? I normally use a tarp for water protection as well as dirt, but not sure if a mesh one is better.
