    APVISA22

    worked yesterday today

Also, if you go through Google Flights and book via Qatar, some will be cheaper. If you want take a risk with some of the unknown travel agents, they are even cheaper. The APVISA22 ended up to be the cheapest when booking directly with Qatar, about 100 less vs no coupon and 50 less vs Google.

  • Weird it says including UK but then the terms and conditions says it doesn’t….

    • Terms and conditions say the offer covers flights to Manchester and Edinburgh.

Had issues with Qatar last week. Booked tickets a month ago for a flight in January and then got an email after 2 weeks that the flight got delayed for 20 hrs. I decided to contact them to find alternatives and was told that the ticket I booked is not in the database "due to a glitch". Got a refund but what would happen if I wouldn't contact them? ProductReview website is worth a look :)

Isn't this the same airlines which is getting sued for invasive search of Australian women?
Ironically, even after this incident they did 'managed' to get the "world's best airport award" by Skytrax.

    • pretty dead airport tbh..

but they have the worlds only Oreo cafe… so apparently that makes up for it.

Those "awards" are all bought by the highest bidder.

Never realized earlier that FIFA was one of them

  • Qatar not getting any of my money, thank you very much.

    • Which airline/country/CEO is getting your money when you travel?

I try to boycott some airlines myself for different reasons but it's been extremely difficult to boycott when all of them are rubbish in one way or another.

From dictatorships to awful customer service, and sky-rocketing fares, life has been very difficult for travellers.

      • its unfortunate because i like the CEO of Qatar, he hates the shit out of Alan joyce and gives him a hard time, so he has my respect there. plus the airline itself isnt that bad and their J option is one of the best in the skies.

Personally id say to europe if you had to go one of the Gulf airways id say Etihad is a lesser evil but their service is probably the worst of them all haha.

outright? Singapore in a heartbeat. Book the cook is superior from singapore.

        • Singapore Airlines Black Friday deals are coming on 24 November.

After trying all 3 Middle Eastern carriers on long haul Europe trips in the post COVID world in economy, I'd say Emirates was the best, balls out…

Presently planning next Europe holiday next Easter, waiting for a Black Friday Emirates code to lock in flights 🤞

        • My experiences with Etihad and Qatar have been better than with Singapore (business class).
I always find Singapore flight attendants without expression and not friendly, they look like robots. My last business flight on Singapore (June 2022 to Europe, bought using Krisflyer) was underwhelming in terms of service and cabin as well. Book the cook was good, but nothing exceptional. My return was with Qatar and it was pretty good… Service, food, Q-Suite… no complaints really, and definitely better than the Singapore flight… Previous experience with Etihad was not as good as Qatar but much better than Singapore. I was able to fly business with Singapore a few times using Krisflyer, and I can't rate them 5*. Only flew Emirates before COVID, but my partner flew Emirates months ago and enjoyed that (still found Qatar Q-Suite better).

I find Alan Joyce disgusting, and Qantas has been terrible in every possible way, even worse in the last years. They just steal the money by cancelling flights and not applying the refund (three times already), and we can only have the money back after several months, and 20 or 30 calls to their horrendous and revolting customer service. Being QF Platinum (status changed recently) helps with getting an English-speaker on the phone, but not necessarily helps with the problem-solving and "the system" issues.

I 100% prefer Virgin for domestic flights as they have managed flight cancellations and refunds a lot better (although still far from perfect).

My best experience flying so far was with Air NZ, but this was before COVID. They have limited routes and have been so slow in resuming flights and existing routes that I don't know when i will be flying with them again, particularly now that I've concentrated my (frequent flyer) flights with Oneworld and Virgin.

          • @this is us: Seconded on Qantas, have tried them thrice internationally, each experience worse than the former - last option under normal circumstances.

          • @this is us: im flying Etihad J for the first time next year. so take my idea of them with a grain of salt. from my understanding their offering is not near as good as Qsuites (both food options and seating) and that doesnt shock me. my opinion on Etihad between the three in my comment was "lesser evil" of all the countries/companies. Qatar id still fly because i enjoy the company but understand people may not like the country or Doha Hamad Airport.

But im surprised you found Singapore J poor. I really enjoyed my experience and the staff were amazing and kept me pretty tanked and happy to talk to me about singapores surroundings and where to visit that are really neat and not as touristy (lucky enough to have Singapore locals for my FAs i guess) and using Book the Cook i was able to make full use of their Hawker style menu for SIN-MEL which offers some awesome meal options that are a bit less "boring" (i find ordering western food pretty unenjoyable on flights, i like to eat the cuisine of the airline im flying with/flying to.)

Says promo code applied for me but seems to be the same fee as what I've been looking at for months.

  • The terms and conditions say that the offer covers travel from 11 December 2022 to 30 September 2023, with some black out periods in June and July 2023. However, reading further, there does not seem to be any discount for flights in the periods from 15 to 20 December; from 25 to 27 December 2022 and from 2 to 19 January 2023.

the website is appalling. The booking site is difficult and the promo does not work. Seems like total obfuscation to me…

just looked for 5(4A 1C) tickets to Athens, 17K+ for next euro summer(june)

This is no deal even with the discount.
