The Good Guys: MAP Perfecto Capsule Coffee Machine $99

40

Appears to be out of stock online, but still available in-store. In-store price $129 at the Good Guys, but happy to match their own online price of $99. Otherwise priced around $199.

Have been looking around for a capsule coffee machine. Upon doing some research, these are user-rated higher than the Aldi Expressi machines with better quality and better tasting coffee.

  • Which capsules can this be used with?

  • You Should know that MAP :)

    • Haha. theres no connection, i promise!

  • @MAP Please refer to: http://www.mapcoffee.com.au/buy_capsules

You can't use the Nespresso capsules, but don't bother IMO this coffee is a better quality grade with Map.

I tested several Nespresso machines and then the MAP machine - and I realised it was 'all about the coffee they use' not how fancy the machine is.

….taste test them yourself and decide Harvey Norman have both machines to sample at their stores… but don't listen to what they say; let the coffee answer it for you.

Good luck and happy drinking! :-)

  • Oh, I forgot - the Aldi Expressi are compatible with these machines but they leave granules of coffee in the coffee it extracts.

The Map capsules offer a double layer filter to ensure you don't swallow a 'crunchy' coffee.

      tel says

(for what it worth some may say the MAP pods can go in the Aldi machine but I was frequently getting grinds in my coffee when using MAP pods in Aldi machines).

Be nice to know which one does what

      • thanks for the link, very good reviews from all the purchasers in the whirlpool forum.

  • Haha … great to see these machines in here in Australia. I used one for over a year now (bought in Germany as I could not find a cheap machine here in Australia … got the machine for free with the purchase of 72 packets of capsules for 264AUD + 10$ for an australian adapter. With this deal I have to pay 99$ + 72x6.50 = $567.

They had the machines in nice colours (not only this stupid grey) … see website (recently they changed the design a little bit … so looks like we are getting again a old model … haha … )

(sorry … no english version )

When I compare it to what I paid a year ago … I would say not a great deal. But as said … this was in Germany and not here and the regular price is very similar to the $99, but the capsules are only $3/packet instead of the $6.50/packet what we pay here).

The machine is great and produces nice coffee … can only recommend it … I would say the cheapest you can get in Australia.

    • So any sites where we can get cheaper pods shipped? (I am looking for decaf)

      • Sorry … they do not ship to Australia. But that is for so many things. :-(

Get a stainless steel jug and use the fmilk fothier for awesome hot chicolate drinks. You can use aldi coffe pods (just use a small sive to capture the odd unground coffee particle) but MAP coffee are excellent but limited range… Love the customer support, they replaced the broken plastic coffee capsule after I dropped it on a hard floor for free…

Check eBay for compatible pods but Officeworks have them, this is the best value all in one coffee machine available here in Australia….
