RRP 3300AUD in Asia. No deal here. Please wait patiently.

That’s the R6, not R6 mark ii (from what I can find searching using VPN)

      • -3

I am talking about R6 mark II official price.

        • -2

By the way I watched the release press LIVE. And the japanese head announcing the price looks pretty confident that the price would make people happy. Bro if you can’t find the official thing you should hand in your OZB badge.

          • @theabyss: Link to anywhere selling it for AU$3,300? Haven’t seen anywhere with anything close.

            • -2

@Buz1986: Well I see most retailers charging 6000+ AUD for preorder.( pretty common and predictable) So I say wait. Do not let these people rip you off if you can.

              • @theabyss: That includes a the 24-105 lens… Do you actually know what you’re talking about…?

                • -2

@Buz1986: No it does not. Just after the press I opened a few websites and saw the prices for the body only and I closed the tabs.

                  • @theabyss: Ok. Sure you did. I’ll just be here waiting for you to post a website link that will sell you the R6 ii body only, let alone RRPs it at that price. Would love to see the launch video where the Japanese head spoke in AUD 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

@Buz1986: Well I calculated it for our convenience.

@theabyss: Probably should have just backed down when you realised you were talking about the original R6 or even the 6D, but instead you thought you would try double down… If you can’t backup your claims, yOu ShOuLd HaNd In YoUr OzB bAdGe.

Can’t believe people neg the truth. Anyway, your money.

    • Once again, you claim all these things yet are unable to back them up with any evidence. You're the worst kind of OZB'r out there!

    • Can't believe you have no evidence to link us to.

  • Thanks Bought one….I hope they don't cancel

    • -5

They will not. They are happy to sell it well above Asian RRP.

      • +1

What is the currency of Asia that you speak of? Last I checked Asia didn't have 1 currency for the whole continent.

    • Yeah I'm hoping they don't, too! It's rare to see brand new cameras on sale! They are still largely on pre-order OS!

  • +1

Launch pricing was widely focused on the 2500 to 2800 USD range by the sites I frequent.

    • +1
      • sales tax + international shipping + possibly import duty. Cheapest landed I have seen them from the US is US$3,007 (AU$4466). Happy to be corrected though!
      • That's exactly the case.

If you're overseas and doing duty free it's a no brainer but getting things shipped in always makes me salty.

Wonder if theabyss factored in taxes as Japan usually quotes their prices before taxes, then we get slapped with imports.

        • +3

Another factor to keep in mind - Canon Australia = 5yr warranty. US and other import is 1yr.

  • +1

Price matched at digidirect which had the EF -> RF adapter slightly cheaper and free shipping, but we'll see how long it takes them to ship.

  • 3859/4249 = 0.90 so its 10% off for the R6 mark ii.

    • Yeah, 10% for that one. Was surprised it wasn't excluded tbh

  • Price seems to have gone back up at 4228 :(. I asked digi direct for a price match as well but didn't hear from them

    • +1

Based on it being brand new (literally still in pre-order phase in the US), I was surprised to see it on sale, so I have a feeling it was a mistake.
Don't worry though, @theabyss knows where you can buy it for $3,300 RRP, just waiting for them to back up their claims…

    • @Buy2Much below suggests stacking DigiDirect promo with cash back for 11% off. I couldn’t stack any codes or cash back when I called to pricematch.

  • You can get the R6 II for around $3815 with the DigiDirect promo by stacking their 5% code with CR 6% cash back!
The R7 is also cheaper at DigiDirect doing the same deal.
