Since the other Dan is also spamming with campaign ads, here is another one.

This is a good cheap gift to anyone who has no interest/knowledge in wine or for overseas visitors.

And it's quite decent for $10 (ex som here)
Coming up as $10.75 for me (Vic) online, ad says $10 and instore only

Bought a couple of boxes of the 2015 when it was $10ish, stashed it away, just opened one recently. Ages really well for such a cheap wine.

Granted, I could just go buy the 2015 as a cellar release for $18, so it probably wasn't worth taking up the space for that long.

Also that $10 invested would get you pretty close to $18 over those 7 years.

I've had good results aging these for 2-3 years, you don't really need to wait too long.

      • yeah, I actually just forgot about them until doing a cleanup recently.

Seems logical to gift wine to this person

  • I went to Strathfield NSW, was charged 11.95 each using member card. Bought 2 bottles, so total of 23.90. Store attendant didn't know anything about the $10 email and couldn't over ride it.
I'm not fussed about the price variation, it's about the same price per bottle as needing to buy a case of 6, but I was able to buy 1 shiraz and 1 cab sav to try and didn't want more.

  • Now $10.95, or $60/6 . Good value.
