This is JBL refurbished and not new - but comes with full 12 month manufacturer warranty.

The model is different to the original JBL Bar 5.1 with detachable speakers for surround sound - but this one has better reviews and it seems the detachable speakers' battery didn't last too long after 1-2 years (based on the reviews I've seen and read). The original (with detachable speakers) is also on sale if you're interested - but more expensive with not so favourable reviews.

Again, this is not a 2022 model (or even 2021) - but still wins in sound power, quality and especially the bass from the wireless 10" subwoofer given the price. Great value for under $400 given TGG/HN etc. are currently selling it on sale for $600+ and it's $799 on JBL website.

      You'll pay quite a bit more for an Atmos setup that's not just a soundbar with virtual surround sound. This is a pretty solid deal unless you've got more cash for a newer system.

    That's very subjective and really depends on what your key priorities are. Atmos is more of marketing term that doesn't really mean much (too many variables like space, size, roof height, room size etc). - and then there's a dependency on audio/video content to get the best out of it. Plus you would be looking at spending at least twice for a base level Atomos 5.1 soundbar setup which still may not match the output of this setup.

    This is a solid deal for anyone looking at a 5.1 soundbar. A huge plus for one of the biggest sub-woofers and that being wireless too!
