          I read it that it means - any amount paid with gift cards will be excluded from the cashback. Only what you pay with a credit or debit card will include the cashback. Though, I may be wrong.

    Hey guys, and happy Black Friday. Here's some tips I comment in most Cashrewards VPN posts.

    A new customer is defined by NordVPN, and nothing to do with your Cashrewards account. Simply use a new email address at their end, the same Cashrewards account as always, and you're good to go.

    Click 'Shop Now' or 'Shop Offer' and buy - don't click away to other sites looking for codes and don't use any 3rd party plugins. Best to use the Cashrewards mobile app on 4G/5G as this eliminates potential issues with WiFi/router firewalls etc. Tracking for NordVPN typically takes 1-4 hours.

    Remove any up-sold products from your cart such as NordPass & NordLocker as they are ineligible for cashback.

    A tip from comments in previous posts is to select a country with no GST to save further at checkout as GST is ineligible for cashback.

      I like the idea of 98% cashback, but it's a bit difficult to know what percentage that will actually be, when using standard mathematics, rather than VPN maths.
      The NordVPN deal says $2.99/month for 2 years = $80.73. I'm pretty sure that 3 x 24 is usually 72, and it should be 24c less than that.
      The extra $8.97 can't be GST, because they want to add an additional $8.07 for that.

      Weirdly, SurfShark, which is 5 cents per month more expensive at is $3.04/month, is more than a buck cheaper over 2 years, at $79.11. (again, before they add GST).

        It has turned up. My order is $51.60 (inc gst) however I only got 15% on the amount excluding GST which is $46.91, so the cashback ended up being $7.04… And estimate approval time is up to 160 days…

          Yeah they take forever not 160 days but a few months. That's how long it took my last BIG W amount to come but it did eventually come.

          I bought a 219 dollar Lego Frozen set and the max cashback of 20 bucks came out on the 199 (i.e. price minus GST) amount.

            @adrianhughes1998: So got a call from Big W yesterday afternoon advising me one of the female slides in the order does not have size 6 and asking if size 7 is okay and I said it's fine but I will probably find another slide which has size 6 to replace it. She said no worries just come to service desk after I find one.

            Then I recived email with tax invoice advising me that they had to cancel that product because that size is not available in stock. Therefore, it dropped my original expenses from $51.6 to $42.6 where it says min. $50 spends required for cashback.

            Are they trying to cancel something to avoid cashback and can I argue with them because I have told them I agreed to find something else with same price to replace (which means they don't need to cancel it)?

        The Invoiced AUD cost ex. GST was $125.62. 98% is $123.10. Cashrewards (miss)calculated this to be ~$119.

              @OrderedChaos: The invoice amount of $125.62 is first converted to USD, then that amount when reported to CR is converted back to AUD. So depending on the timing/rates of the conversion, the $125.62 amount when reported to CR is actually less than that, hence the lesser cashback amount.

    Does anyone notice NordVPN is a bit misleading in their ad? They say 3 months free on their website but you are actually charged for it. A 2 year plan at $2.99/month should be $71.76 only (2.99 x 24), but you will actually be charged $80.73 (2.99 x 27).

      There is a lot to this that has very poor transparency in what you'll actually get charged and why.
      FWIW after cashback 2 years of standard (VPN only tier) should cost AUD$15.06 based on what I was just charged.
      Got notice of the tracking and charged amount is apparently US$84.99 with cashback as $119.60
      Not sure how 2.99*24 becomes 84.99, but total cost after cashback should work out to $AU18.58 in my case
