So i got one of these subs from the last deal and it is very good. Much better than I expected. So without waffling on, here's my thoughts and some basic measurements.

I set it up in my bedroom system and was instantly surprised at its output. Goes quite loud. I had to dial the gain back quite a bit from my initial setting. Ran some music and movie clips through it and again was very surprised. It actually had more noticeable output and went lower than the MS308 8 inch sub I use in the room. Its also tight and punchy with plenty of impact.

I put some test tones through it and it does have legit output at 30hz and even a bit lower.
My room has a mode around the 50hz to 70 hz and boosts output at those frequencies so I will just post the results from 50hz and below.
    50hz-73db
    45hz-66.4db
    40hz-61.4db
    35hz-60.6db
    30hz-60.2hz
    25hz-58.7hz
    20hz-nothing,as you would expect, lol

Edit, I should add that these measurements were taken at a very moderate volume and were just for comparative levels at the different frequencies.

Pretty good result for such a small sub. Do I like it? Well, it's ended up permanently in my bedroom.

    Hope this helps.

    • I think I like the sub too

  • Are these any good?? Can it be connected to sound bar?

    • I like it. See my thoughts above this comment. If your soundbar has a sub out, you certainly can connect it.

      • Bought one, had a $80 voucher for some reason so I got it for $51 not bad

        • Bargain for sure. It really is a great little sub. I hope you enjoy it!

  • I bought the 175W one last time. It's really good. Old-school hi-fi quality.

  • this is 6.5 inch size? isnt that bit small?

    • I can only offer my thoughts and results from actually using it. The Mordaunt Short 8 inch sub that was in my room was in every way inferior.

Is it comparable to an SVS or a Rel? No way,

But it is still a decent addition to most systems.

And I am sure that whatever sub you have is better than any sub I own.

      • haha nop, i have shitty Logitech sub that i am only using the sub part paired with my gumtree passive speakers. so i figured i need something proper. and this being in the price range had me interested.

just got it today, feel like cleaner, tighter, but not wow or even close to that compare to what i had (it was just z623 logitech sub). i mean its only 130$ what can i expect. all the proper IO is what i ultimately want.

        • All good, I just thought you were having a dig. Interesting you don't find it a bit of an eye opener. Other than the MS308 I mentioned above I have a Rel HT1003 and a Polk HTS12 and while these two are bigger, better and more powerful, the Audio Pro is still impressive especially given it's size.

Obviously every room is different and the results can differ from room to room. Also placement makes a difference as well. I have mine in my bedroom which is quite small and I have it at the front below the left speaker about 600 from the left side wall with my listening position about 2.8m back.and it just happens to work well there. Which is good because I cant really put it anywhere else.

Maybe have a play with placement. I will leave a link to the test tone generator I use.I use my phone and use bluetooth through the system. I find it handy to set up crossovers etc when using speaker level inputs but it's also handy just too see what you are getting in your room/placement. I have a cheap SPL meter but you could just download an app on another phone and use that for results

Anyhow I hope you enjoy it. I would hate to think I gave poor advice, lol.

          • @revheadgl: any advice is good for me as i have 0 experience setting up a proper 2.1 system. i think this would be a good starting point, before spend any more money, play around a bit with the things i have now see how it goes. thanks a lot for the info !!

  • great
