I cannot find it cheaper anywhere else, next cheapest price seems to be $259.99 at Costco. Not as cheap as the ebay plus expired offer, but good if you missed out on that.

Much as I like Global knives (and I use them), I don't see the utility in buying the sets. One of their 20cm chef knives (like the G2 in this set) plus a handful of OzB favourite Victorinox cheapies (eg. Swiss Classic Wavy Edge Steak and Tomato Knife) is really all that 90%+ of people will need!
I have a 6 knife block, and while I could happily make due with and large and small, each knife fits a niche and gets good usage. Sometimes I want two short knives, one for chopping pork and one for chicken etc
This is a reasonable alternative if you don't have plus, or prefer brick and mortar stores.
