For those who didn't get one 2 weeks ago, Chemist Warehouse is now offering at an even lower price of $85.49.
For those that did, get your price protection forms filled or buyers remorse on for that $9.50…

At this stage they haven't dropped the price of their eBay listing but worth keeping an eye on it if they do and you have vouchers to use.

If you're in WA, suggest C&C if it's an option. I ordered for delivery from the last deal and it only arrived 3 days ago, didn't ship from the closest store like they used to do. Might be worse now with the rail flood.

The 8500 is essentially the Genius 8000 package, bundled with the charging travel case from the Genius 9000.

I've also just seen an email from Latitude offering $20 cashback on $70 spend at Chemist Warehouse so good timing if the offer applies to you.

    I would give these expensive ones a miss. I had the Genius 9000 and stopped functioning after a year. Get any of the cheaper Oral B that has lithium battery and it will do the job.

      Things do fail sometimes. Hope you got it swapped as warranty is 2 years.

      Sounded faulty good you returned to get another one Under warranty. Never hear from happy customers like most things.

      8000 good, wouldn't say that expensive, can spend plenty more (but why would you). It's funny how you don't noticed the battery slowdown on the old ni-mh ones untill you get a new one. Agree li-ion the go.

      Yeh was good price though that's like saying can get it for $65.49 now with Latitude cashback offer, deal wasn't available to everyone unfortunately.

    How long does the battery life of these high end generally last for? I have the basic Vitaly one and it's battery is dead within less than 8 months or so. Gotta charge every brush now .

      I've had my Oral B TRIUMPH 5000 for 8.5 years now. The battery is still going strong. However, the external thin layer of soft plastic (or rubber?) deteriorated badly over the last year or two, so I had to peel it off.

        In what way is it going strong? I used to be able to keep my fully charged Vitaly undocked for about 4 days then over time it got less and now by 8 months it's with every brush that it needs to be docked. that's so sad lol

          I haven't paid too much attention to it as I don't remember when I ran out of battery last time. It's usually docked, but occasionally it did remain undocked for a few days without causing me any issue. Now that you've raised my curiosity, I'll test how long I can use it without charging it.

              @PeeDee: It started to flash red on day 7, with at least 10 brushes ( 2 - 3 minutes each time) over the period.

        My old pro would be lucky to get a few goes out of before going real flat out die without taking the charger.. whereas the new ones are meant to last for two weeks.

    I just collected two from a local store. But I'm disappointed about the build quality, there is a gap between the body and bottom parts.
    Is that normal??? I'm gonna return them
