      Enjoy your 8hr battery life!

Spend the extra and get yourself the GT3, it is well worth it, it has upgraded heart rate sensors and is extremely accurate, i've tested mine against two heart rate straps and it reads almost identical whilst exercising. At $199 for the 42mm version its a steal.

I agree. I brought a GT3 over the other brands as well after lots of careful consideration and delibaration and have only really taken it off to charge over the last 10 months and have been really happy with it. Not to mention it actually looks infinitely better than the other brands as well!

        Garmin 8 hours? I get 3 weeks on my 6X, sometimes 4

Is there a way to get contactless payment work on Huawei? Just master card will also do.

    • Nope!@

The Huawei software is basically unusable if you want any meaningful functionality.

The Huawei software is not good. It comes with like a ~500mb "service" application. Lord knows what it's doing, because it sure doesn't have any functionality. No NFC pay, no support for any of the apps that most android phones use.

If the OS on the watch was standard, it'd be fine. But Huawei's proprietary OS and their 'Health' integration app makes the device not worth having.

I disagree. The health tracking is actually pretty damn good (on the GT3 at least). I use the always on display so it essentially looks like a regular analogue watch with a black screen most of the time. I get about 4 to 5 days battery life with AOD, health tracking on (heart rate and sleep), and phone notifications.

The GT2 and GT3 are not WearOS devices and aren't meant to be. They're an intermediate device between a full blown smartwatch and an activity tracker, and it's exactly what some people want (like me).

  • I am looking for a watch with good heart rate tracking, NFC, bluetooth calling and reasonable battery life (5days).
I am not in apple ecosystem and not keen on spending over $300.
