Thought it was $150 couple of days ago…

    • There was a $100 pricing error. But otherwise this price is ok

    • 100?

Yes it was $99, pricing error.
      This is approx 24.1 $/TB

Not a price error. Many got it Delivered.

        • +1

Obviously a price error, doesn’t mean in a mass automated machine like Amazon that a few slipped out before someone noticed.

          • -1

@Mitch889: Downvote all you like it isn't even listed as a price error on Ozbargain and the mods are super anal about this stuff.

            https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/737967/votes

Again it wasn't like all the orders got cancelled or a heap of downvotes

🐫 🐫 🐫 Isnt reliable for quick changes of pricing either. Stuff that wasn't a price error still didn't track the lowest pricing.

        • Given the average $/TB, it is a pricing error, though they honored some i believe ..even i've purchased one.

Did they? I saw nothing but tears on that post! (including mine)

        • +1

          Many got delivered ?

  • WD 20TB from Amazon UK!!

    Thanks OP

Be careful they sent my two drivers in paper bag

    • +2

Outer bag true, but rather than getting WD Reds in paper bad, these drives are well protected ( hinged.mount 4 rubber bushes ) in the casing , also drive housing is inside WD box..
      I just shucked 4x of the same…

      • Just curious. May I ask what you do with that much capacity?

    • Were your drives damaged?

      • Both clicking out of the box

        • That's not good. Would expect these external drives to survive in a bag though.

    • Yeah I would never buy bare drives from Amazon again after they shipped a Seagate Exos 16TB to me in a paper bag, and their courier dropped it on the ground from waist height right in front of me.

Didn’t even open it, started a return and took it to the post office 30 mins later.

      • +1

        Tow different scenario,
        1. Seagate Exos - they are bare drives , no casing , no protection in a paper / bubble bags - no no
        2. Elements Desktop HDDs like this- it has manufacturers carboad box, then HDD casing is suspended in the padding, then when you shuck you can see rubber suspenders holding the hdd housing - With the protection, I dont mind with bubble wrapping or paper bag , as long as it get delivered.
        Anyway it is personal preference..

        • I haven't received any in a bag before but it would have to undergo some serious mistreatment to be damaged within all that packaging.

I think I saw chunee's HD parcel somewhere in that pile.

Maybe the one that hit the fan. : P

        • That’s why I said bare drives….

  • $24.12 / TB

Was $475 before prime day sales.

Finally someone post this deal, its been this price since 2-3 days ago and considering it still available I guess not much people's bite the deal. Last July during Prime day, it was $384.43 for 18TB which equivalent to $21.36/TB. Since its black friday and cyber monday, they should try to get it down to $23/TB or lower 🙈

    • +7

Nice of you to post it 2-3 days ago 👍

      • +1

I did post it on comment, also I'm worried if I post it as a thread people's who got the 20TB for ~$90 will flame my threat 😜

        • Lol fair

      • To be fair, it's not a deal. Or seems to sit at this price a lot. I'm waiting for cyber Monday to see if there's a REAL deal on this drive

    • Australian dollar is lower now.

Amazon, We want $99 each back for this

  • Anyone else getting redirected to a 1TB hdd amazon link? (au store)

  • yes the link is going to 1Tb HDD page - I cant find this drive from Amazon UJK

  • Better to jump in the group buy while it’s still going if you’re going to shuck these for a NAS. Got a 18TB enterprise drive for $350.
