Came across this by luck while strolling through big w on the weekend and very happy with price and quality. Just before i was going to go officeworks or fantstic furniture or even master and bunnings for a desk.
at the moment using it as two separate desks until i have time to renovate my room,so it is an advantage that it can be used as a small, medium and large desk.
Normally $68.00 but even still then its a bargain.
Plenty in store at QV melb, no online stock

More than $200 cheaper than nearly the same thing here which has a drawer and slightly bigger https://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Furniture/Des…

$100 more here

Will someone please post the depth dimension? (guessing about 50cm)

(because obviously the "depth" in the specs above is really the length)

    • -1

what do you mean? the 2 "desk" tops are different lengths - one is 20cm longer than the other. you can switch them up so either side has the longer one. its 73.5cm high, and in one direction it will be 142cms, the other will be 122cm. thats really all the specs you need.

      • what are the dimensions of the rectangles if you take them apart?

        • +2

          one is 92cm x 50 cm
          the other is 72cm x 50cm
the one that connect those two is 50cm x 50cm ( with a curve as in the pic ), i dont think you can attach it to neither of the rectangle alone( it wont be stable ).
It's seem not big enough for my house, only me and my wife, but stuff everywhere on it lol. Hope that helps.
PS : those number represents the glass alone, not the stand

        • Thanks. Answer = 50cm.

        • Thanks. I wanted to know the answer to that question too

  • Looks good, might go see if there's one at my local (says low stock)

  • Thanks for the post will be try to buy one this week

  • I bought one of these for ~$70 a few months ago. It's an excellent desk, easy to put together and well built, but despite what the people told me in store - and despite the fact that its an office desk meaning youd use a computer on it - an optical mouse does NOT work on it. you will need a mouse pad.

  • Do the also sell those magic desk lamps that don't require power?

Wouldn't it be cold to the touch?

  • Looks like I got one of the last in Perth, not a lot of stock left even though some stores showing. None @ Belmont, Livingston, Phoenix, Gateways or Riverton.

No good if you buy from catchoftheday.com.au - you constantly bang the desk when you miss out on good deals!

    • hahaha

  • It's like this one at OW but a bit smaller. Got it for $29 and it was incredible value.

  • Bought one. Only issue is it worries me about having glass table for my 27 inch mac.

    • I use a glass desk (similar to this) for my computer that weights around 25KG (full size steel case, etc) and it hasn't fallen through yet. The tempered glass is surprisingly sturdy.

    • I would be worried too but I am sure it will hold

    • I had the same thought (same computer) I put the monitor on the part that sits right above the mount (not directly on the glass). I also put a small timber block under the screen where its sitting to distribute the weight.

    • says dont put more then 40kg on it

      • "don't put more then 40kg on it"
So this one's no good for one of those office romance scenes.
You know the one; where I sweep everything off the desk in one motion….

        Darn
A glass desk and a webcam would make for interesting reviewing after..
Purely for nostalgic purposes mind you.

So we need stronger glass desks.
        With inbuilt heaters.
That dont cost anything to run.
About time manufacturers started listening to "the people".

And if only my webcam worked in W7.
Anyone know of a stronger glass desk deal (with or without the heater & W7 webcam)?

  • Anyone know if this desk or the officeworks one is available anywhere in WA?
