Great barbecue. I have one and I love it.

    • Any cons?

I don’t think so. Not portable, like the Baby Q range? But this thing puts out so much more heat by comparison. It’s great for searing.

Get the LPG version, even if you have a natural gas connection.

No regrets from me. Maintain it and don’t let it get greasy/dirty, and regular cleaning will be a dream.

Oh, and get a cover! I cover mine and it still looks great so I look forward to using it. If it was dirty and tatty, in be less enthusiastic about firing it up.

All generic advice. Sorry, nothing else to add.

        • Can I ask why you recommend LPG even if you have mains natural gas?

Does it not burn as hot or something?

@Qbagger: I’m tjink technically from what I read ages ago, natural gas has a 2% increase in heat output

But I should have worded my original comment to say that with LPG, you can move the BBQ anywhere, whether you move home, change your backyard layout, etc.

With natural gas, you have fewer options. Some may not care. I have a natural gas connection and was considering getting a natural gas version, but the store rep talked me into LPG. He made a lot of sense. A 2% drop (or whatever it is) in heat output is imperceptible.

  • Difference between this and the spirit e320?

    Worth the extra cost??

    • I got the E320

I can’t remember the differences, but I do sometimes have the mentality of “if it’s not an item I’m going to replace in a few years, I’d might as well pay the extra and be done with it”

If you can afford it, I’d just suggest getting the higher model. Unless there’s an obvious lack of real difference or if there’s a feature you know you’d never use

  • why so expensive

  • These are the old model Genesis, so I suspect on run out. Great price. New one equivalent is over $2k I think

    • Know the key differences?

Genesis or Esprit, they are both awesome. Better than the Qs.

    • I found the family q to be a touch too small.

The store also had the Genesis II 310 bundle for $999 which would've been perfect for my needs but all sold out.

  • How do you order? Website just comes up with enquiry button for me. Was just trying to add one to cart to figure out delivery.. any one have any luck?

  • I bought in store…

  • they don't deliver to Sydney…..
