Anyone Working at Auspost in The Regent Park SA Sorting Facility (or Any Other Capital City Sorting Facility) ?

Our parcel has been touring the country since September. It has visited multiple cities in most states and territories except for the Northern Territory and Queensland.

It is believed to have an eroded address label with the number 7052 visible. Original address was PO Box 7052 but the machines are reading 7052 as a postcode.

Multiple enquiries have been lodged trying to get it returned (gave up on having it arrive at the correct address). A few times they have said they will intercept it and get it on its way back to us but inevitably it starts a new Australian tour. This parcel is worse than John Farnham! All we have been able to do is call back every two weeks like they suggest with no change.

Unfortunately it contains personalised items which are expensive or difficult to reproduce so we really need to get it back, compensation won't help much.

I am desperately hoping that somebody on this forum works at AusPost and can notice it and grab it and go that tiny bit above and beyond and can help get our parcel back to us instead of it condemning it to the system where it will continue to have a much more exciting travel life than me, for the next year. We will be very grateful!

It is currently at the Regency Park SA sorting facility, but there's no guarantees how long it will stay there. These are the places it has previously visited (some multiple times separately), in case anyone works there and could keep an eye out for it for me:

  • SYDNEY NSW
  • MELBOURNE VIC
  • HOBART TAS
  • ST LEONARDS TAS
  • KINGSTON TAS
  • SUNSHINE WEST VIC
  • WELSHPOOL WA
  • MORNINGTON TAS
  • REGENCY PARK SA

Trying to find a package with staff shortages and just after black friday/cyber monday better odds at winning the lotto unfortunately

Staff shortages? Thought they imported some overseas "skilled workers" who got aust citizenship if they worked for peanuts for a year?

      • This is plastered all over Aramex website Due to widespread labour shortages (we are actively recruiting!) But let's be honest who really wants to work for Aramex

      • +2

can't believe that people still believe this crap, no one gets the citizenship in 1 year, you need to be in here for a minimum of 4 years to apply. Then about another year to process it and get the actual citizenship.

        • should be 10 years at least

What did OZ post say when you called about the parcel going on a OZ holiday trip around the country?

Last year I had a parcel go from Melb->Sydney-> Adelaide->Melb-> Sydney->Chullora->Melb->Sydney->Kingsgrove and then finally after 3 weeks got a delivery….. It was express post (yea right…)

Do you even read the OP before making useless comments?

Multiple enquiries have been lodged trying to get it returned (gave up on having it arrive at the correct address)

  • I believe this (amongst other things) can occur if you don't make your minimum zip monthly repayment.

I use 7ZIP for compressing files as it's better than ZIP.

Well that's why your parcel is not taking the scenic route.

        • Please explain….

I hope you signed it up to a frequent flyer program.

It will have to visit ACT (honorary stop) first before it can finally make its to your town.

    • Started there, so I'm hoping that counts as having visited 😛

  • I've had that happen a lot to me. The overnight parcels were even clearly marked! One was a samsung post office printed return, and took 2 weeks from Devonport to Hobart. Others have taken 6 weeks and 100s of entries before being delivered. …. normal!!!

@Quantumcat Do have the tracking number handy? Based off of your list it hasn't passed through my centre (yet), but I'd be happy to look into it for you and get back to you.

  • Following this, hoping for a happy ending
